Another longer Night Run
I just finished a 12.009km running that lasted about 0hh:56mm:51ss !
As I keep saying I need to start running a few shorter routes but faster, it seems I'm doing the exact opposite. My last 3 runs have been over 11km, and today was exactly 12km it seems. That's not super long runs, but more than my usual. Today, I tried to change up the route again, this time by heading West quickly after the start. Then I just went randomly through some of the local streets. Since I started late again, I made sure to follow the busy streets at the beginning, so I could run the quiet streets once it was dark. Lots of zig and zag to eventually reach almost 7.5 miles. I was surprised, it seems it rained more than I thought during the day, and I could see a few rain water puddles. Nothing to stop me of course, but I really thought we only had drizzle. I managed to keep a decent pace for the first 4 miles, and it slowed down a bit after that. But the overall pace at 7:37 min/mile is pretty much the same as last run, and the run was slightly longer. So, not too bad once again.
No deer today, but lots of rabbits. I also scared off a few house cats having a party in front of somebody's yard. I also ran past that apartment complex where I saw that German Shepherd dog a few times. It seems he's very often tethered in front of that apartment, that's a bit sad for that dog. At least now I know he cannot reach the road where I run, so I don't get scared.
Total for July is now at 122km, and with a week left, that could be my best month since I started monitoring my runs. We'll see, I don't want to jinx it. But next run will probably be this Sunday, I will try and take it easy tomorrow with just lots of walking.
Till then, keep Exhausting!
