Tumble on an Evening Run

I just finished a 10.237km running that lasted about 0hh:46mm:50ss !

The good thing for today is that I managed to follow yesterday's plan with another run. It started well, legs weren't too sore from yesterday's run, and the temperature finally dropped back to a more usual for November 42F (or 5 degrees Celsius). I was hoping to run at least 10k. But exactly when I completed the third mile, I just took a nice tumble. Not exactly sure how that happened, maybe I wasn't paying enough attention, maybe the audio mile update from my watch distracted me, or maybe the slightly uneven terrain just got me, but down I fell! I was a bit stunned, but I picked myself up and resumed running pretty much immediately. The whole thing probably took less than 10 seconds. I thought my glove took the brunt of it, and it was just a bit of road burn on my right hand and arm. And I added the 3 miles and change I needed to reach 10k. Of course, even after switching my headlamp to maximum power (I usually don't feel it's necessary to use that high setting), I was a bit more careful with my stepping and slowed down slightly, but the average pace at 7:22 min/mile is okay in the end.

When I arrived home, I confirmed it wasn't bad, but a bit more than just light burns, with my hand and knee bleeding a little, and my whole side thigh/ass area badly scratched (don't worry I didn't take any picture of that!). And a few hours later, now that I cooled down and the adrenaline rush is long gone, I can feel my leg is a bit banged up. I'm pretty sure nothing is broken or anything, but we'll see how sore and tender it gets tomorrow.

I guess I need to look for new running gloves. These ones were pretty good, soft and very light, perfect for my type of running, even for very cold Michigan weather. Suggestions are welcome.
Like I said yesterday, Thursday was already supposed to be a rest day, especially with all the rain in the forecast. But after that fall, that is for sure that I will take it easy tomorrow. If we get moments without rain, I will just walk the dogs as much as possible, but that's all. And hopefully on Friday, another run to keep the current consistency. That's the plan anyways.
Till then, keep Exhausting!
