Amazing Battles #17 – Mimosa Nightshade unbreakable!

Hail guys, I'm back with my series of interesting battles!

The legendary summoner Mimosa Nightshade is very strong, but it is not so easy to play with it, it negatively influences the opponent, and it is easier for our mind to work with positive things such as more damage, more speed, etc.

Today I want to show you how she can make her army indestructible on certain occasions.

In this battle, observing the possible elements that I could fight against, (and this is a very important observation), I was able to verify that my opponent would most likely use Earth or Dragon with a large amount of ranged attack.

The ruleset does not allow Healing or melee attack cards, so I didn’t have to worry about physical attacks, and magic could be fought with my Lord Arianthus’s Magic Reflect without much difficulty since, without Triage available, the magic attackers can be eliminated much more quickly.

These considerations made me suppose that I would face a flurry of arrows, and for this reason besides the Mimosa that reduces the ranged attack of the enemies in - 1, I added 2 more cards that have the ability:

ability_headwinds.png Headwinds
Reduces the Ranged attack of all enemy Monsters.

Fallen Specter and Soulstorm! Reducing the damage from ranged enemy attacks as much as possible.

Note that before the first round begins after all debuffs have been added, the attacks of all enemy archers have been reduced to just + 1:

And since my first and second position cards both have the Shield ability, all attacks were useless.

In this battle, there is simply nothing to comment on, as only one side can attack

I was able to eliminate the entire enemy army without suffering any damage to any of my monsters.

Impressive isn't it?

Although in this battle it didn't make much difference, because of the total domination of the opponent's attacks, I used the Grim Reaper card which has a very useful skill in this style of combat.

When the ruleset does not allow the use of tanks with melee attack, almost always the enemy tank must be some defensive monster without attacks, such as Lord Arianthus, Onyx Sentinel, or perhaps the Gelatinous Cube, and thus a ranged card with Oppress can be very useful in accelerating our victory.

ability_oppress.png Oppress
Does double damage when attacking an enemy that has no attacks.

The strategies with the Death splint are very fascinating, another possibility is to use debuffs that decrease the number of hit points of the opponent, and try to take advantage of this weakness by adding cards with Redemption.

But this will be the topic for a new post! See you soon.

Hi, @polessins, yes, the effects of the abilities are cumulative, but they cannot reduce a stats unless + 1, what is OP?

The game is very balanced, as soon as a card is found to be OP the team will nerf it, happen in the past with prince reyner

i think players should not be able to stack monster abilities. maximum would be monster ability + summoner ability debuff.

still game is really competitive balanced. u might use this nerf combo and yout enemy might show up with a magic team.. well ur doomed lol

its stil a fantastic tactic, thank you for posting this tips.
