Travel Day: July 23 2020
Got up a little after 3 am and hit the road by 4 am. Seeing the sun coming up is very special.
Since Arizona is crazy with Covid I decided to stop for bathroom breaks at rest stops since they are fairly empty and usually well ventilated.
This stop is past Yuma before Dateland. I walked around a bit to stretch my body and then went to the restroom.
I found a lady laying on the floor in a stall. I don’t know if she was still alive - I didn’t hear anything when I did my business and saw her in the mirror when I stepped out.
I got the person working there to check and first responders pulled in while I was still there. I left since there was nothing I could do.
After that, I stopped to gas up and decided to keep going to the next rest stop. So many people without masks!
There, I was alone in the restroom. And this time, I looked at all the stalls. But didn’t hang around to walk even though my body really wanted to. Again, too many people to make it difficult to keep distance.
So, did the 630 miles in 10 hours and drove by a big brush fire, an accident was warned about but must have been removed before I got there, and rain once I got to the Res...

Yup, the trains are sooooooo loooooooong :)
Arizona is striking. harsh for the most part. This was taken at around 6:30 in the morning and it was already almost 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
Wow, that must have been scary to find that woman in the stall. I pray she is ok. Keep safe and I'll be praying for your protection from harm and illness, too.
It was disconcerting... And it is staying on my mind. I guess I will never find out - and I hope she is okay.
