Bees had settled in one of my worm compost boxes. Today, I noticed that they were gone.
We opened the lid and found this. Sadly, no honey in them. But lots of ants all over. That is probably why the hive left.
I put the combs in the freezer to kill the ants and will melt the wax to make candles.
