Friday will continue to be marked by cloudless weather with Arctic winds

Even though the wind was very strong today, the sun's rays are still catching up, and there's a balance. The temperature didn't exceed 16 degrees Celsius (60 degrees Fahrenheit), but it was very pleasant in sheltered spots.

Mimo iż wiatr dzisiaj smagał bardzo skutecznie, to promienie słońca jeszcze nadrabiają i jest równowaga. Temperatura nie przekroczyła 16 stopni na plusie, ale w miejscach osłoniętych było bardzo przyjemnie.

My granddaughter and I went on a long hike around the area today. We found a few mushrooms, but generally observed nature. We also saw a few birds of prey.

Wybraliśmy się dzisiaj z wnuczką na dłuższą wędrówkę po okolicy. Znaleźliśmy trochę grzybków, ale generalnie obserwowaliśmy przyrodę. Pojawiło się również kilka ptaków drapieżnych.

On a sad note, I noticed that the blackberries haven't ripened yet. They're reaching the red stage, and that's the end of their life – the berries simply wither. I have no idea if this is caused by the heat, but it's been going on for 5-6 years.

Ze smutnych spostrzeżeń, zauważyłem fakt, że jeżyny po raz kolejny nie dojrzały. Dochodzą do etapu czerwoności i na tym się kończy ich żywot - po prostu owoce usychają. Nie mam pojęcia czy to jest spowodowane, a trwa już od 5-6 lat.

Unfortunately, the nights are very cold, and we have to burn wood in the stove. This has its advantages, as the climate is unique.

Noce są niestety bardzo zimne i zmuszeni jesteśmy palić w piecu drewnem. Ma to swoje zalety, bo klimat jest niepowtarzalny.
