The first major thaw this year and plenty of sunshine

Sunday greeted me quite pleasantly. A slow but nonetheless visible sunrise in the morning put me in a positive frame of mind for the day.

Niedziela przywitała mnie całkiem miło. Rano niemrawy ale jednak widoczny wschód słońca nastawił mnie pozytywnie na cały dzień.

Ice anglers have once again set out to catch fish. It's obviously more for fun and sport than for catching fish for consumption. But it must be admitted that it takes a lot of knowledge, equipment, and determination to get involved.

Wędkarze podlodowi ponownie wyruszyli na łowy. To oczywiście bardziej zabawa i sport, niż pozyskiwanie ryby w celach konsumpcyjnych. Ale trzeba przyznać, że trzeba sporo wiedzy, sprzętu i samozaparcia aby się w to bawić.

Today, a group of flying friends showed up in abundance. All the species I've seen feeding there were present, and nuthatches made their first appearance this year. It was a bustling affair.

Dzisiaj latająca grupa przyjaciół pojawiła się w nadkomplecie. Były wszystkie znane mi z karmienia gatunki, i pojawiły się w tym roku po raz pierwszy kowaliki. Było gwarno.

And besides, it was a very slippery Sunday. You had to be very careful not to tip over, because the surface looked like glass at times.

A poza tym bardzo śliska niedziela. Trzeba było bardzo uważać, aby nie zaliczyć wywrotki, bo nawierzchnia momentami wyglądała jak szklanka.
