Medical procedures and urban moments [Eng/Esp]
Today my usual routine was different. I made my usual breakfast for my family and, after talking to my dad, he took the girls to school. While I was on my way to the Luis Gómez López University Hospital, as I can't go from doctor to doctor, which just costs money and doesn't completely solve the problem.
As I was walking to the hospital, I came across some cats gathered together; I loved that scene. I realised that someone had put water out for the cats, and it was such a beautiful gesture of kindness.
I arrived at the hospital and went to make an appointment with the ENT specialist. When I arrived at the appointment area, the queue was long because appointments are made for all the specialities seen at the hospital.

They started at 8:15 am and were making slow progress, but the good thing was that the sun wasn't too strong. My turn came and I was given an appointment for 27 January 2026 with Dr Ingrid Ortiz.
The person in charge of making the appointment explained that I had to arrive early and go to ticket office 3 to have my medical history taken. I had to bring two yellow folders with letter-sized clips and a notebook. From there, I went to find out where the ENT clinics were located. I asked if Dr. Ortiz, who was going to see him, also saw patients privately, and they told me that on Tuesdays she sees patients in the brick building and the consultation costs $10, so I left with that information.
There I saw a sign listing all the specialities that the hospital offers, which is good to know and share in case anyone needs to see a doctor to improve their health. Going to public institutions is more economical than going to private institutions; you save money that can be used for tests and medicines.
With the information I had obtained, I went to take public transport home, passing by Plaza los Ilustres. I noticed that they were planting beautiful plants, and they were also cutting down a tree whose branches were obstructing the electrical wiring.

I also noticed that there were Christmas decorations, such as a small tree and words, one of which was peace, faith, harmony... I think the lights will be switched on this weekend.
I continued on my way, had lunch, and went to class. When I arrived, I was surprised to find that a classmate in my group would not be continuing due to health issues, and she had not brought what she was supposed to bring. In light of this inconvenience, we had to move forward and not get stuck. We did what we could and made plans for next time.
Class ended and I left. I passed through the square again and there was dance therapy, so I stayed for a while to watch. Apart from that, they were putting lights on the giant Christmas tree. I realised that they were working outside of normal hours to finish early. I'm sure they're rushing them...

It was already getting dark, and I kept walking until I got home to rest and spend time with my family.
Hoy mi rutina habitual fue diferente, hice mi desayuno de costumbre para mi familia y en conversación con mi papá el me llevo a las niñas a la escuela. Mientras yo iba con la referencia para el Hospital Universitario Luis Gómez López, ya que no puedo andar de médico en medico y lo que se hace es gastar dinero y no se resuelve por completo el problema.
Cuando iba caminando para el hospital, me encontré con unos gatos reunidos uno cerca del otro; esa escena me encantó. Pude darme cuenta que les colocan agua a los felinos, y es un gesto de humanidad es tan hermoso.
Llegué al hospital, me fui a pedir una cita para el para el especialista de otorrinolaringología. Al llegar área donde dan la citas la cola estaba larga, porque se piden citas para todas las especialidades que ven en el hospital.

Comenzaron a las 8:15 am y avanzaba poco lo bueno fue que el sol no estaba fuerte, llegó mi turno y me dieron la cita para la consulta el 27 de enero del 2026 con la Doctora Ingrid Ortiz.
La encargada de dar la cita, me explico que hay que llegar temprano y pasar por taquilla 3 para que le hagan la historia de colaboración llevar dos carpetas amarillas con gancho tamaño carta y una libreta. De hay me fui a conocer donde son los consultorios de otorrinolaringología, pregunte si la Doctora Ortiz que lo va a ver ve privado por otro lado y me dijeron que los martes ve en el edificio de ladrillo y la consulta sale en 10$ así que me fui con esa información.
Por alla vi en un letrero con todas las especialidades que ve el hospital y que es bueno saber y compartir por si alguien necesita verse con un doctor para mejorar su salud. El ir a las instituciones públicas es más económico que verse en las instituciones privadas uno se ahorra dinero que puede servir para exámenes y medicamentos.
Ya con la información obtenida me fui a agarrar el transporte público para irme a casa, pase por la Plaza los Ilustres. Me di cuenta que están sembrando plantas hermosas, también estamban cortando un árbol que sus ramas obstruian el cableado eléctrico.

A su vez observe que habían adornos de navidad como el arbolito y palabras una de ellas es la paz, fe , armonía...,creo que el encendido de las luces será este fin de semana.
Seguí mi camino el almuerzo lo hice y me fui al curso al llegar me encuentro con la sorpresa que una compañera de mi grupo no va seguir por problemas de salud y lo que le correspondía llevar no se llevo. En vista de ese inconveniente hay que seguir y no paralisarse, se hizo lo que se pudo para la próxima tomar previsiones.
Se termino la clases y me fui , pase por la Plaza otra vez y había bailoterapia, así que me quede un rato a observar, aparte de eso estaban colocando las luces al árbol de navidad gigante. Pude darme cuenta que están trabajando fuera de las horas habituales para culminar pronto, seguro los están apurando...

Ya se hacía de noche y seguí caminando hasta llegar a casa para descansar y compartir con la familia.
