Skate Photos (and GIF’s), iPhone 0.5 wide lens shots of Manuals and Nose Manuals.

Good day Skatehive!

Here I am sharing again snaps from our session! This time I would like to share with you the nose manual and manual skateboard trick. I shot these using the 0.5 wide lens of my iPhone. The footage looks decent but not that crisp as this mode feels like it is stretching and sometimes distorting the image. I do not recommend this 0.5 mode on still shots. It just does not look good. Hahah. I did it anyway because this day I have no filmer and I left my good old GoPro6 in the house. I would recommend this mode on lines and the lighting must be perfect. On lines this mode can take over for my GoPro6. It is that good. My iPhone is the 11 pro max so it is 2 generations behind, I believe they must have improved this 0.5 mode on the latest models. Anyways, here are a couple of snaps and edit I made.

First one is the manual. This was far very easy. I could safely say that I am better at balancing manuals than nose manual. As a skateboarder this trick is one of the first ones that is most easy to learn. The only rule for manuals is that you must not touch the tail on the ground. When I was starting, I did manuals that touches the tail and it always made the tail shorter, realizing this, I tried not to touch the ground and save the tail of my board so that I can skate it longer. I think everybody has this trick. The longer the better!

The next one is the nose manual. It has been a while since I did this trick because I was more focused on practicing the front side crooked grind which to this day I could not perfect. This trick also took me a long time because I was so used in shifting my weight on my toes because of the frontside crooks. Then I remember I had to distribute and balance my weight on my toes and on my heel so that I can manual longer. The pop out was not there because as I have said, I have not done this trick recently so the first one I did, I just ran with it. haha. I had some slams which I deleted and regret deleting, hahah, that is also the limit of my iphone, I need to delete footage because it is loaded with music and personal photos that a video of trying and trying tricks cannot be stored. It is still better to have one dedicated camera to film because it holds only the videos and nothing more.

As you can see, I did not complete the sequence of getting off the manual pad. It just does not look good because my head was out of the shot. Hahah. I just removed it. Hahah. So I added the GIF’s of the made ones!

Thanks for viewing and I hope you liked it!

Cheers!

P.S. Fact, if you have not skated in three weeks, don’t push yourself too hard, it will be a disaster!! haha Peace!
