This is my first time experiencing intramurals in our school since I am a product of the pandemic brought by covid 19 and we only had online interaction for about 2 years. That is why I am so excited to share it here how's my experience with this type of event.

In the college department, students from first-year to fourth-year college of different courses were grouped into 4 having different teams. The Competent Jaguar, Pink Panther, Ammiable Wildcat, and the Compassionate Eagle.

As well as the high school department. They have Humble Hanan, Courageous Idinayale, Audicious Amihan, and, Simply Mayari. They are named after the goddesses of myths. We have the same date of Intramurals but of course, we are not playing the same category. The goal of this event is to build new relationships and interact to connect with others.

I belong to the team of Compassionate Eagles. The team that I never thought I'd be creating unforgettable memories with. Actually, before November 29, every team was given several days to have enough practice and all other preparations.

But the thing is that I felt nervous and challenged because I was tasked to choreograph the team's dance memetics and my team's faces were new to me. Luckily, with the time given to us, I was able to connect and adapt myself to my groupmates. They are also friendly and easy to approach. Socializing with them is not as hard as I thought.

On November 29th, the first day of Intramurals, all of my teammates were prepared and excited.

This is us, wearing our team t-shirt in the shade of sky blue. Happiness and excitement are what you can see on our faces.

We started the opening program with a parade followed by a short program. College students and High School students were huddled in the High School court.

There were presentations from the high school department such as a tribute dance and opening dance. Right after, were the opening remarks, yell competition, banner racing, sports exhibition, Lighting of Cadron, and lastly the oath of sportsmanship.

Finally, when the afternoon comes, the competition of different sports has started.

These are the sports we have played during our Intramurals. (High School is not included, they have their sort of games) Basketball, Volleyball,(Boys and Girls), Chess, Sungka,Scrabble Table tennis, Badminton, E-games, Amazing race, and Larong pinoy such as Malong volleyball, *sack race", and patintero.

On the first half day, board games such as chess scrabble, and sungka were played in the school canteen (College Campus) while basketball and volleyball were played in Pealez Covered Court, Pelaez, Bogo City. It is a win-to-win, lose-to-lose game.

The first game of basketball is a battle between the Amiable Wildcats and the Pink Panthers. Right after were the volleyball girls of Team Wild Cats and Pink Panthers. Followed by volleyball boys, the battle between the same team.

Around 6 pm that day, the long volleyball was played. It is a game where you will catch the ball using malong. It was the battle of Compassionate Eagle (our team) versus the Amiable Wild cats. Luckily, with our teamwork and strategy, we won the game and were waiting for the championship battle the next day.

In our school grounds, the badminton and table tennis were also played.

On November 29th, our second day of Intramurals, the first game being played was Amazing Race. This is a challenging game for every participant. It has 10 stations having different levels of challenges.

This is a game that requires fitness, quick movement, strategies, teamwork, and perseverance. The venue of this game was held at Bogo Public Plaza.

Right after the amazing race, was the game of volleyball girls. The battle of Competent Jaguar and Compassionate Eagle. Sadly, The Compassionate Eagle did not win and will fight for third place.

It was also followed by the basketball and volleyball boys of different teams. (Loose-to-loose fight) Just like the first day, the ball games were held at Pelaez, Bogo, City Cebu.

Back on our school court, the battle of table tennis, badminton, and E-games also happened. We somehow felt the sweat because most of our team's participants were battling for the championship. Our team is very compassionate about what we are participating in.

Our Dance memetics will be presented on the third day and what we feel is nervous and pressure. Most are tired and restless because of the games being participated in but we need to stay at school late for the preparation of Our dance memetics. (Most of our Athletes are participants in dance memetics )

We gathered in the school's canteen and created our props individually. We also did blocking to prepare ourselves for tomorrow's competition. We went home around 9, hungry and out of energy. But that was fun indeed.

December 1, 2023, was the last day of our Intramurals. The morning that day was the championship of most games. Participants in every game were very competitive and I can not deny that the tension was there.

I can say that students in Saint Louise de Marillac College of Bogo were very competitive because every team gathered victory in different sports.

During the afternoon, the awaited and last part of our Intramurals is the presentation of our Dance Memetics. But before that, the Junior High School had its sports dance competition. Right away was the Dance Memetics.

We present it together with the Junior and Senior High School but of course, the criteria of judging is different. The college department presented first and our team, the Compassionate Eagles were the second presenters.

After the presentation of the four teams of the College Department, it was followed by the different teams of Junior and Senior High School students.

I can see the beauty of talents in every team. All were having fun and enjoying.

After the presentation of every team, the awarding of winners was followed by the Junior and Senior High teams. It was fun hearing them cheering while receiving their awards and certificates in different sports. That was the moment of happiness Indeed.

Around six in the evening, it is the college department's turn to announce of winners. There were certificates and medals given.

We also got the vibes during the announcement of winners, Cheering, and clapping our victory.

Receiving the certificate allows us to forget the restless and challenging battle we've been through. What a great day to celebrate.

The three days of Intramurals gave us memorable experiences. We were able to show our talents and capabilities in different sports, allowing us to forget the academic stress.

The most important thing is that it molded us on how to show cooperation, embark on different strategies, and show sportsmanship to our members and opponents.

We have learned so much throughout the journey. Meeting new friends and never expecting to see kindness in them is priceless. The bond we created is a golden moment to be kept.

I am so happy and proud to experience this kind of event.
Thank you for spending time with me Hivers. I hope to see you soon. Keep safe!

I think we have the same thing here in Thailand but we called it "Sports Day", when you all get together and compete in your color coded group. This sound like really fun. Enjoy! :))
