Rafael Nadal beats Tsitsipas and wins his 12th Barcelona Open title

Rafael Nadal (Spania, 3 ATP) has defeated the greek Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-4, 6-7(6), 7-5 in a challenging match of three hours and 38 minutes.

Tsitsipas won the tiebreaker on his third match point, forcing a third set. Similarly to Nadal, the Greek star then wasted a match point while leading 5-4. Nadal remained on his feet, winning three consecutive games.

Rafael Nadal celebrated his victory with a traditional dive in a swimming pool.
