Woeful Losers

"We had nine different partnerships in the back. It doesn't matter as well, the fans don't want to hear this, they want to see us winning and that is what we have to serve them."
- Ten Hag

If there is one thing Ten Hag has perfected in recent months, it is telling us the amount of injuries his team has suffered, and piling the blame on that, more than any other thing. Well, I wouldn't expect him to come out and say he's not good enough. But one thing that is glaring is that Man United are not the only team with injuries to first team players in the Premier League this season.

Admittedly, Ten Hag has a point, but his consistent reference towards injuries is getting nauseating these days. I would've preferred him to just go about his media duties without reminding us of his usual excuse. We already know he's not getting sacked, so he should spare us the persistent gibberish. However, I would've expected a better performance if Man United were starting their reserve team against Nottingham. At least, there should be some honour in defeat. But whenever these ones lose, they do it woefully.

The Boogey-Ones are back
De Bruyne has played just 22 minutes thisl season. Haaland has missed the last four Premier League matches. Yet, City are just two points off the summit, and already on the same points tally with Arsenal having played the same number of matches. I couldn't help but shake my head in silence and pain, knowing fully well that this is already trending towards a familiar pattern where City blitz everyone in the second half of the season and wrap up the title with games to spare. Seriously, I am fed up!

Aston "Unai" Villa
A penny for Unai Emery's thoughts right now. Of course, he is not silly enough to think they will win the league. No, he wouldn't dare because the big boys are truly at it this time and will turn the screw when the time is right, unlike the way they all floundered when Leicester scampered through to claim the trophy in some unreal fashion some six years ago. But, honestly, Emery has been unbelievable at Aston Villa. The fact that they are playing amazing football to back it up is the big plus for me. Let's see how they'll fare in the second part of the season.
