11 K, Ruta de los 7 templos 2026.⛪🏃🏽♀️➡️✝️

Saludos y Bendiciones.

Greetings and blessings.!
This is my second year participating in this wonderful activity: the “7 Temples” route, run as a marathon. Visiting the 7 temples is a Catholic tradition that symbolizes accompanying Jesus through his Passion. Ever since I was a child, I’ve always done this route with my parents and my family, and now I do it with my extended family of runners. This year’s route surpassed last year’s, since on this occasion all the running clubs in the city joined together. The meeting was at 7 a.m.; my husband, myself, and other teammates jogged from home—it was about 1.5 kilometers to the meeting spot. When we arrived at the designated spot—the first church—several runners were already there, excited for the route. Thank God the authorities accompanied us to keep us safe along the way, and family members also followed in cars to support us with hydration. With a runner’s words, we began the route. We were all running at almost the same pace, since that was the idea—to stay in good order and thus make a bigger impact on the community. And it certainly worked; everyone was very excited to see us, so I know there will be more of us next year. What a thrill that through running we can also build up the church.
The route planned for this year was a very comfortable one—flat, spacious, and mostly downhill. The first four churches were the farthest apart, and the rest were in the town center. At each church, we were welcomed by the priests, and at each one they gave us a blessing. The runners were really excited because, at that moment, we were one big family, regardless of which club we belonged to. At the very end, at the last church, we had a fantastic snack—we really weren’t expecting it—delicious fruit, cookies, drinks… wow! This route felt like a full-fledged race; we were so happy and grateful for this wonderful route, with the best weather and the best possible company, allowing us to enjoy this passion even more. This route has become an annual tradition, and it offers an invaluable reward. We continue to enjoy the passion for what we do, and even more so when we can give back to our community through running.😎
