ENGLISH VERSION
Saturday, today we had a long training session. It rained heavily the day before, so we didn't know if we would be able to go jogging. Thankfully, the sky cleared up at dawn, so we got ready to go for our long run. Today we went on a very refreshing route, which combines uphill and downhill sections. We set off at a good time, 6:00 am, even though it was still cool. From the first kilometre, I started to sweat a lot, as it was very humid. I started at a gentle pace of 7:39 min/km, As I climbed uphill, my pace remained between 7:24 and 6:42 min/km. I kept a gentle pace as I felt a little rushed and was breathing heavily. When I reached kilometre 7, I stopped to hydrate and enjoy a few minutes of the view and nature, and then we headed back. By this point, I was feeling tired and my legs were very heavy. The pace remained between 6:55 and 7:26, a little high, but I felt very heavy and my heart was racing. My husband noticed that I was lagging behind more than usual and assumed that I was not doing well, so he stopped and turned back, but when he saw me, I told him to continue. To keep myself stable and not stop, I picked up the pace.
I didn't have a good night, and I know that this also affected my training today, as rest is vital for good performance. Added to that was the humidity and the workload of the week, factors that affected my training today. I will reduce the workload a little and give priority to rest. When I got home, I stretched and my legs felt like lead. What surprised me was how wet I was. I was sweating profusely, and my shoes were full of water. As I stabilised myself, my body continued to sweat profusely. Well, not every day is the same, and we have to mature through them. Some days everything goes your way and others it doesn't, but thankfully I adapted the conditions to my training, such as increasing my pace and breathing more deeply so that I could finish my training for the day.
See you next time friends. And we continue training for Caracas Rock 2025 with the Hiverun team.
