Carrera 10K Ciudad Carúpano. 🔥🏃🏽♀️

Saludos amigos

Greetings friends
Today, Sunday, we interrupted our long training sessions to participate with our small town's running community in the 10K race commemorating our town's anniversary. My husband and I got up very early to get ready and go to the race. I ate a banana and drank a cup of coffee to wake myself up. I took my hydration pack and my gel with me. When we arrived at the starting point, the best place in the world, my beloved little beach, they were still getting everything ready for the start. Several runners had already arrived and were warming up. Elite runners were invited to this race, one of them being Nerick Narval, who is from the area and, of course, showed up for the race in his little town. They also invited Zuleima Amaya, a well-known runner in the eastern part of the country. The race started promptly at seven in the morning with the priest's blessing, and guess what? 😜😜😜 Strava failed me again, and I was in limbo because my headphones were also failing, so I didn't know what pace I was going at, but I told myself, in the name of God.
It was a very enjoyable race because almost all the running clubs in the area were there. Some were taking it easy, others were going for records, and I was in limbo, hehehe, trying to keep up and follow the pace of the other runners. I took my gel and my electrolyte water. As I was nearing the finish line, I felt a little dizzy. The heat affected me, and I didn't know what pace I was running at. Thank God everything turned out fine. When I looked at Strava, I realized that I had started too fast. Well, I definitely need my watch urgently. I'm hoping that Santa will bring it to me this Christmas. Well, we'll keep training for the 2026 CAF marathon.
And so we continue with our training. See you soon.
