Retomando las cuestas ποΈπ₯πππ½ββοΈ

Saludos runners!!!

Hello runners!
It's the weekend, and I hope you are all doing well and enjoying this wonderful passion. With CAF 2026 just two weeks away, I can still feel that wonderful experience close to the surface. Today, in our long training session of the week, we returned to the hills, as we enter a period of preparation and strengthening, and we know how good it is for us to include hills in our weekly training sessions, as there are many benefits to be gained from the famous hills that many runners dislike. A sunrise with wonderful weather welcomed us to today's training session. A cool breeze brushed my face, and when I started jogging, I felt very blessed. For today's route, we included hills, a route with few kilometers but one of my favorite hill routes, as the hill is long and intense, but at the same time it is a route where we can push ourselves a little because it does not have so much elevation gain. In short, it is perfect for training.
I started my first two kilometers of warm-up, then gradually slowed down, keeping track of my heart rate. As I was going uphill, my heart rate rose more, even though I was maintaining a controlled pace between 6:19 and 6:09 min/km. The weather today helped us a lot with our training. When we reached the highest point of the route, we stopped, recovered, and took some nice photos, enjoying the training session to the fullest, without any pressure, as we don't have any races coming up, it's just maintenance. I enjoyed the return trip even more, chatting with my husband. For this training session, I took a tasty snack with me, a bag of oatmeal and apple compote, trying out other food alternatives during training. It was a wonderful 11 kilometers, with hills, working on strength. And we continue to maintain a healthy lifestyle through this wonderful passion.
