My Actifit Report Card: April 5 2024 - Sweet Victories: A Journey of Strength and Self-Love
There are temptations on every path.
Refusing them requires a great deal of willpower, particularly when they are tasty delicacies.
I start my struggle in the bakery.
Though I know that the sweetness of raisin bread will undermine my ambitions, the fragrance is irresistible.
I fight the impulse and follow my routine today.
Even though it's a minor triumph, it's still a victory.
It was significantly difficult at the following store.
The challenges never stop.
My biggest weakness is chocolate, so it takes even more willpower to avoid the platters of mouthwatering yummies.
Nevertheless, I keep going because I see a healthy future for myself.
I've been hiding from the public and avoiding mirrors and images lately due to my weight and self-image.
Prior to being admitted to the hospital, I was doing really well.
I'm now committed to getting back on track for my weight as well as my confidence.
I look forward to the day when I can confidently share my selfies and proudly glance in the mirror.
Hiding used to be my coping mechanism and again I've fallen back on that. Anxiety was caused by photographs, mirrors, and even social encounters.
But I've had enough of hiding in the dark.
My objective is to face these anxieties and rediscover my inner strength.
Positively, I've already dropped two kg!
Though not nearly enough to make me feel at ease, I'm getting there.
I rewarded myself for my self-control at school by having a nutritious apple snack with the other students.
The next challenge is a team-building event with the topic of "Friendships, the Dutch way" tomorrow.
It's organized with my assistance, and the space is decked out in celebration.
I have to keep it a secret until tomorrow, so I can't tell you everything, but it will definitely put my physical strength to the test.
Tomorrow, I'll talk more about the exploits of the day!
Speaking of difficulties, my folks' house is being painted on Monday.
The project was delayed due to Dad's recent surgery, but he is recuperating well at home.
I'm cleaning up the living room with my brother.
We merely need to move the large furniture because, happily, Mom already took care of the smaller items.
My oldest son even helped out, proud to demonstrate his developing strength!
We quickly cleared the space, moved everything to the garage and as I sit back on my own couch, I'm appreciative of my progress.
Wishing you all the best in life and much health.
