My Actifit Report Card: April 12 2024 - From Gym Grumps to Gentle Recovery

Our bodies communicate with us through whispers and screams.

Sometimes a dull discomfort or a slow morning is a sign that we should pay attention.

What started off as a takeout yesterday turned into an official protest today.

Even though I felt under the weather, I made myself attend to my gym appointment so I could start a new fitness routine.

I stayed with the trainer's lessons because I knew that learning the proper form would help me avoid injuries and achieve the best results.

Luckily, learning took precedence over pushing myself too hard this time.

It was very tempting to curl up in bed, but I made myself go to work.

Neither would I want to forsake my coworkers nor change plans at the last minute.

Luckily, the students participated in a fun outdoor activity that afternoon.

We went to the newly built school garden, played games, and took part in outdoor activities.

The flora thrived, while I withered away.

At the end of the day, I was dying for the comforts of home.

Three pairs of shoes in the hall meant that my sons and my eldest's girlfriend all were home, together with our cherished
French Bulldog, Funs, who was very excited to see me.

Thankfully, the day was saved by the preparations for dinner.

Instead of the rich dinner that everyone else was eating, I chose to have a light and delicate fish dish.

I declined the hearty dinner that everyone else was eating in favor of a light, delicate fish dish.

My stomach was just not capable of accepting anything else.

I had to pay attention to the clear signal from my body.

The schedule consisted only of recuperation and a complete return to basics.
