Extra day off. My Actifit Report Card: May 27 2022
The company I work for has granted an extra day off to all employees worldwide. Great!
I spent the - how else - hiking. But in a different way than usually. First, I went alone - my hiking companions haven’t been blessed with Friday off. Second, my purpose was to study panoramic views. As future Beskidy Mts guide, I am supposed to know and present to the group visible peaks. Not a trivial thing considering that my guiding area is 500km long and has 100s of peaks and plenty of viewing points. I know already a lot - this knowledge comes by hiking, not from studying albums. Still, I need to learn many obscure peaks and also be familiar how they look from different angles or in different light.
Therefore I hiked today with a compass and classical paper map and of course had PeakFinder as my assistant.
