Hiking in rain. My Actifit Report Card: June 4 2022

A lot of people, my “old self” included, hike only in good weather. About two years ago I learnt to enjoy mountains even when the weather isn’t perfect.

A pouring rain with thunderstorms aside, I found beauty in rainy mountains. The air is clear, wet forest emits a very pleasant fragrance. Yes, there’s mud.No, there aren’t breathtaking views. Still, I do enjoy hikes like today.

Very nice. I absolutely love a slow, calm rainy day. Sounds a bit weird, but those might be my favorite days. The windy, stormy destructive rains I can do without, but slow rains...I like. Great photo of that salamander. !LUV

The fire salamanders like slow rains, they go out about their business and always look so clean. I am very careful not to step on their tails.
