Three faces of Winter. My Actifit Report Card: February 3 2023
Forecasting weather isn’t an easy job these days in Poland.
I went for my morning walk in subzero temp and dry, crisp air. No wind. Perfect conditions. I’d only add some snow underfoot and frost on the trees.
During the day snow did fall. From my window it looked like serious snowfall. One could hardly see the neighboring buildings. Social media channels were swarming with photos and “where are the snowplows”.
After work, I walked 6km to a café. The snow underfoot started to turn into streams of water on sidewalks. It was noticeably warmer than in the morning.
I studied in the cafe with a friend for an upcoming exam. It took me some 2,5hrs. When I walked back home, it felt even warmer and it was raining.
Now all “we need” is sub zero temps in the night… and emergency wards will be very busy tomorrow morning…. I hope this doesn't happen, as I will drive some 120km to my hiking destination.
