Hiking to Lac de Melu

Today we woke up, packed our stuff and beaded towards Corte. From there we drove up a tiny little mountain road to finally climb for another 1.5 hours by foot towards Lac de Melu. This tiny lake is what is left of a long gone glacier in the mountains of Corsica. It’s tucked in between a wall of mountains all around.

The climb was pretty smooth with some steeper snowy bits near the end. All in all a beautiful day!

Afterwards we went in the direction of the east coast for some milder temperatures. Let’s see what beauty awaits us there!
