Like father, like son!

Carnival here in Brazil is in full swing, it's a party everywhere. But Carnival is also good for those who like to rest, or even go for a family walk. Taking advantage of this extra time during the long weekend to enjoy yourself, be it your family or the parties, is always a good idea. I enjoyed it in my own way, a little fun and a little with the family, there has to be balance, it's the yin-yang that works!

This is the third time, since the first post, that I've gone out for a skateboarding trip. In all of them my son was present and even though I encouraged him to learn, he wasn't very interested, I believe he was afraid of getting hurt. And boy am I so happy because today he finally tried. And not for nothing, the kid already got the hang of it on the first day!

At first, it was like anything else, a little insecurity and fear. But I was there encouraging and supporting, helping with the initial balance and paying attention in case he fell. This initial support and encouragement is very important, I wouldn't want him to fall and become discouraged from trying again. I was there and he felt safe to continue when he couldn't.

I felt like a little bird throwing its baby from the top of the nest, but the boy went there and made his first attempts alone and almost succeeded after a few attempts. A little unbalanced, but at least it didn't fall.

He took his first strokes, he was now more confident. It's not easy to paddle on this skateboard, it's unstable and a little more self than usual and my son mentioned this a few times. The excuse I used for him to keep trying was that if he could do well on this skateboard, then it would be easier on any other skateboard he would ride. He agreed and we continued trying.

You can see his progress in such a short period of time, I don't think we spent even two hours practicing.

So he finally managed to stay up a lot longer, went down a good bit and didn't even lose his balance that much. After a while he managed to master the balance of the skateboard much more to direct the path. He did well, I was very happy that he did well!

I think we're going to have another new skater in the area!

And after all this fun, we have a father who is very proud of his son's progress and a very tired son. The day was worth it and I went home very happy, I finally managed, not only that my son took the risk of skateboarding, but that he did very well too. You could tell how happy he was!

O Carnaval aqui no Brasil está a todo vapor, é festa pra todo lado. Mas a folia também é boa para quem gosta de descansar, ou mesmo dar um passeio em família. Aproveitar esse tempo extra no feriado prolongado pra curtir, seja seus familiares ou as festas é sempre um bom negócio. Eu aproveitei da minha maneira, um pouco de folia e um pouco com a família, tem que ter equilíbrio, é o yin-yang que dá certo!

Essa já é a terceira vez, desde o primeiro post, que saio com a finalidade de dar um rolê de skate. Em todas elas o meu filho estava presente e mesmo eu incentivando ele a aprender, ele não se interessou muito, acredito que ele estava com medo de se machucar. E cara, eu estou muito feliz, pois hoje ele finalmente tentou. E não é por nada, o moleque já pegou o jeito no primeiro dia!

No começo, foi como qualquer outra coisa, um pouco de insegurança e medo. Mas eu estava lá incentivando e apoiando, ajudando no equilíbrio inicial e atento caso ele caísse. Esse apoio e incentivo inicial é muito importante, eu não gostaria que ele caísse e desanimasse de tentar de novo. Eu estava ali e ele se sentiu seguro a continuar quando não conseguiu.

Eu me senti um passarinho jogando o seu filhote do alto do ninho, mas o garoto foi lá e fez suas primeira tentativas sozinho e quase conseguiu depois de algumas tentativas. Um pouco desiquilibrado, mas pelo menos não caiu.

Ele deu suas primeira remadas, já estava mais confiante. Não é fácil remar nesse skate, ele é instável e um pouco mais alto do que o comum e meu filho mencionou isso algumas vezes. A desculpa que eu usei para ele continuar tentando é que se ele conseguisse ir bem nesse skate, depois seria mais fácil em qualquer outro que ele fosse andar. Ele concordou e seguimos nas tentativas.

Dá pra notar a evolução dele em tão pouco tempo, acho que não ficamos nem duas horas praticando.

Então finalmente ele conseguiu ficar bem mais tempo em cima, desceu um bom pedaço e nem se desequilibrou tanto. Depois de um tempo ele conseguiu dominar muito mais o balanço do skate para direcionar o trajeto. Ele mandou bem, fiquei muito feliz por ele ter se saído bem!

Acho que vamos ter mais um novo skatista na área!

E depois de toda essa brincadeira, temos um pai muito orgulhoso pelo progresso do filho e um filho bem cansado. O dia valeu apena e fui pra casa muito feliz, finalmente consegui, não somente que meu filho se arriscasse a andar de skate, mas que ele foi muito bem também. Deu pra notar o quanto ele ficou feliz!
