We see in our sport world today, were athletes performs very well and sometimes they once we hope to perform better falls alongside. This is as a result of confidence and arrogance, they both look similar. When we talk about confidence…it is much than what people think or feel it to be, there is more to it. Indeed, it is so profound in some athletes in such a way that you can reach and touch it because it reflect in everything they say, do, wear and how as well how they look. Confidence all looks up to the belief in your own ability to handle and be successful in a particular task. The level of confidence you have in yourself determines the level of outcomes and performances in a sport.

But when we come to the word ‘arrogant’, it displays an extreme form of one’s confidence, otherwise known as over-confidence. In the line of comparison, we see that one is productive while the other is counterproductive. You may ask how and why?
In an instance where athletes is feeling over-confident (arrogant), he/she is likened to loosing focus, lacking preparation and even poor resilience because he/she feels that at all time, performance is sure. But this one of the things that makes most of our athletes that our legend stumble at some point and lose out from success due to over-confidence.
