El bicampeón del fútbol venezolano ha tenido un primer semestre algo irregular, donde no ha tenido el rendimiento esperado en la fase regular, y por Copa Libertadores, estamos prácticamente eliminado luego de solo 3 fechas, lo que ha generado muchas dudas en el proyecto del Flaco Perez Greco, por lo que sumado a la contundente victoria del Carabobo en el primer partido del cuadrangular B, los aurinegros necesitaban sumar de a 3 para ir calmando las aguas y recuperar sensaciones para afrontar esta parte decisiva de la temporada. El primer partido se antojaba muy complicado, pues teníamos que visitar a la Academia Puerto Cabello, equipo que teníamos más de 500 días sin poder vencer.

La principal noticia positiva para este partido, era la vuelta de varios jugadores importantes para el equipo, pues las lesiones han sido uno de los factores que no han permitido poder crear un estilo más reconocible de juego, siendo la vuelta de la dupla Cova y Fioravanti la más resaltante, pues recuperamos la columna vertebral que ya nos hizo campeones y quienes son los encargados de desarrollar el juego en la mediacancha. Así mismo, recuperamos a Bryan Castillo, goleador del cuadrangular anterior, y que en este partido volvió a demostrar porque está es su fase favorita de la competición, y también a Diomar Diaz, uno de los jugadores que más me gusta de la plantilla.

A sabiendas de la importancia de comenzar en esta fase, por lo corta y decisiva que es, pues solo el primero clasificará a la gran final, el técnico tachirense se la jugó con Cova como media punta, posicionando a Calzadilla en el doble pivote junto a Requena, lo que le dió el dominio de la mediacancha, en la defensa no hubieron sorpresas, pero en zona ofensiva me pareció raro que no saliera con Saggiomo por la banda zurda, me imagino que pensando en explotar más la velocidad de Ruiz, por la derecha Sosa y en punta Cano. La verdad, con la vuelta de Bryan Castillo, no entendería si siguen apostando por el delantero argentino, que no sólo está más fallón, tanto para asociarse y chutar al arco, sino que a nivel táctico, siento que aporta menos ya que no es muy rápido, y generalmente, sus diagonales no son efectivas.

Esto último se hizo muy evidente en la primera parte, pues Táchira dominó todas las acciones de juego en la primera parte, creando un buen volumen de jugadas ofensivas, pero siempre falló el último pase, por lo que si vamos a las ocasiones claras, Camargo tuvo mucho más trabajo que su contraparte. Con Calzadilla en la medular, Cova tuvo más libertad para jugar, pero siento que desde la media punta no rinde igual, ya que tiene poco recorrido para romper las líneas de presión rivales, así mismo, se pierde tenencia de balón en la medular, lo que obligaba a Táchira a jugar muy frontal, valiéndose sobre todo del talento de sus extremos y laterales para poder crear peligro.

Academia Puerto Cabello también planteó un partido diferente a lo que venía haciendo hasta esta altura del torneo, pues a sabiendo de la calidad de los centrales andinos para salir con la pelota jugada, renunció a su presión adelantada. Esto hizo que por momentos defendieran en un 4-6-0, pero tanto Awudu y Manzambi estaban en posición para contragolpear, por lo que luego de recuperar, tanto Contreras como Cedeño metían balones a la espalda de Sosa y Hernandez, viendo por aquí la gran mayoría de ataques en la primera parte, así como el gol, que llegó luego de un pase del ghanes al lateral Linares, y el delantero suizo marcó de cabeza ante una mala salida de Contreras.

Llegando a la hora de juego, el técnico se dio cuenta de su error, sacando a Cano por Saggiomo, con lo que volvió a ver un jugador en la media punta, mientras que Bryan se posicionó como 9, dando más opciones de pase gracias a su movilidad.

Con este gol, el partido se abrió un poco más, el mediocampo se rompió y Academia refrescaria sus bandas, buscando algún contragolpe que lo pusiera por delante en el marcador, pero era muy llamativo que no arriesgaban de más, como si se conformarán con el resultado, más aún jugando de local.

El cambio del punta de los aurinegros fue un acierto total, ya que no sólo cumplió como 9 de área al referenciar la marca de los centrales, sino que además intentaba diagonales, y justo en una de ellas, recibe en el punto penal, desde donde se perfila y mete el balón por la escuadra derecha, pero finalmente fue anulado por un fuera de juego claro desde el VAR. Una pelota parada finalmente sería lo que decidiría el partido, pues a la salida de un corner por Cova, Castillo daría la ventaja con un cabezazo al primer palo, y aunque en los instantes finales Academia tuvo una clarisima para empatar, pero el canterano Duarte fue fuerte abajo, sacándole el balón a Rojas antes de que pudiera chutar.

El resultado, a mi entender, demuestra más la resilencia de los jugadores, y que más allá de lo conseguido en torneos anteriores, aún conservan el hambre para luchar, pero me preocupan dos cosas, el trabajo táctico no me ha parecido nasa bueno en lo que llevamos de temporada, el error de lectura en la reanudación del segundo pudo habernos pasado factura, pero por suerte, los locales no salieron con todo, y aunque se corrigió, el empate de Táchira llegó a la desesperada, cuando el equipo estaba siendo superado, y la segunda, es la falta de contundencia, el fichaje que llegó como el goleador del equipo apenas ha anotado un gol, y me parece grave que después del dominio que tuvimos en la primera parte, no sólo es que el portero local no tuvo que exigirse al máximo, sino que además el nuestro fue la figura, e inclusive, recibimos un tanto.

Otro punto importante eran los lesionados, pero poco a poco, han empezado a sumar minutos, y puede que para esta fase tengamos a todos disponibles, aunque como no todo puede ser positivo, el argentino Requena salió con molestias, y no he escuchado nada aún del alcance de las mismas. Aunque me gustaría decir que el Deportivo Táchira es favorito para ganar este torneo apertura, la verdad es que siento a este equipo algo flojo, y más allá de haber sacado resultados buenos contra rivales locales, el juego no termina de convencer, siendo el mayor señalado Perez Greco, que con una mejora en la plantilla en comparación al año pasado, no ha podido sacarle el rendimiento esperado por la afición.

En mi opinión más personal, veo al Carabobo como el favorito, por lo que quien gane este grupo B de la fase final, debería ser el campeón del Apertura, con los respetos que se merecen los equipos del otro grupo.
