Ride with what you have
I saw some murals while we were walking towards the university campus... And if you see these images it means that I have approached them - now you see the same what I have seen. Colours always attract us, don't they?
My companions on this walk, although at first they only waited for me, also decided to come where I was. I don't know why it happens, but many times the things we spot transmit messages to us that we realize later. Maybe in life, you have to pedal, with what you have. Or sometimes you have to change the direction or the speed at what you go, but nothing stops.
The date also played the same game with us. The Fifth of March sounds like a quite normal day and nothing indicated to me that this date is a non-working day in Zaragoza. Only the closed shops when I went to get some groceries... Oh, it's a holiday.
It doesn't matter, at least I learned some details from the history of this city and discovered that even cakes in the shape of the number five can be made and sold in bakeries to commemorate this day.
Looks tasty and creamy but I didn't buy any. We were taking a little stroll between two activities in the music conservatory of this city and got a nice company with us. A fellow Hiver who guided us through the city.
I always have many questions but she (the fellow Hiver we met) seems to know the answer to the majority of them. Which street is this, or what does that monument represent, and similar...
Well, maybe it sounds like an interrogatory but that is how I also found out that this is a remaining part of one of the old gates from the defending walls of Zaragoza - Puerta del Camen.
Gran Vía Street showed several sculptures and a little photo exhibition. The music that was heard there, while we were seeing what you also see in this post was awesome. The two guitar players performed "Entre dos Aguas" by Paco de Lucia. 🎶
"Yo lo vi" - it means I already saw it. This is the exhibition I mentioned, photos taken by photojournalists of Aragon during the last year. In this text, there is one part that says that there are many ways of feeling and paying attention to tell what is happening around us.
Oh, I mentioned that nothing stops... so time doesn't stop either. We headed back and passed again by the university campus which was a good idea as I could appreciate the place once again. The entrance looked more gorgeous when the sky already become darker.
That is how I saw it, nicer with the blue background, however the same place could be shown in a completely different way, from another angle or through brighter colours.
The same could be applied to the buildings of the University of Education or Philosophy. For me, they stood out more beautifully against the dark blue sky.
The sign was clear!! It was time to return to a concert and leave behind the pedaling and walking activities - although this post is coming to the Wednesday Walk community!
Love the art on that first photo, it looks cool and really have something on it. And that cake in shape of five, I think some people do that too in our place, it's a customized cake for birthdays of what especially for kids. Even that is a form of arts too, arts is really amazing, uwu.
Anyways seems like you had an amazing tour guide in this walk of yours. (人 •͈ᴗ•͈)(✯ᴗ✯)
It was the first time for me to see a cake in the shape of a number. Actually, it indeed makes sense for birthdays or anniversaries 👏 😉
A delightful post... I mean the cakes and the post, yes, I don't understand why I want to eat everything. 🤔
Cheers to that hiver zaragozana. I'm sure the photos of Yo lo vi are great.
Y las tuyas también. Todas.
😉
I feel like a tourist tasting that delicious cakes jajaja..its true time never stop and that's magic!!
I also feel like a tourist 😅
We were looking for a smaller cake to find as these were too big
los venden grandes por qué saben que lo compartirás conmigo jajaja
Jajaja, verdad! 😂👏🥂
I felt hungry looking at the number 5 cake. It look so yummy
Haha, it looks indeed. I am wondering whether I will find cakes with the number 6 tomorrow (well, already today) 😁
Lol It looks cool to have a cake that's number shape
@mipiano Very beautiful photos, I especially loved the mural, did you know that on this page, there is also a community of Urban Art, and the theme is to take pictures of the murals in the streets.
Thank you @lanoican
Yes, there is a community Street Art, if that's the one you thought of. 🕊️
@mipiano Yes, that one!
When I saw your post I thought you were bringing another puzzle. It is a letter carrier or a cyclist. He brings a message and goes full speed But how interesting one of the murals to call it somehow brings message for the journalists. I think nanixxx would be more interested to enlarge it and read it.I think the message is well clear and touches several aspect of the world situation. Very interesting. Nice ride @mipiano. Thanks for sharing. I really liked the street musicians, they solve their life with what they know how to do and music always unites. Nice Wednesday.🥰🤗😌
Oh, because the mural reminds you of a puzzle? Maybe, but it seems that the artist who painted this one was having fun, like me when doing puzzle. 😉 The photo exhibition was very nice and as you say it touches very important topics. 🕊️
🐾🐾🐾
What a beautiful Zaragoza, I loved getting to know a little bit more about it through this tour, my dad is there and he tells me it's beautiful, and he's not wrong 🙌
Your dad is in Zaragoza? The weather was so good today, I hope he enjoyed too a nice sunny walk 😃
Si, mi papá vive en Casetas 🙂
Ahora he mirado en el mapa - Casetas, porque no conozcco tanto esta ciudad, he venido en tres ocasiones hasta ahora 😉
What a beautiful Zaragoza, I loved the university. Also that photo expo, very original way of showing it.
Too much cream in those number 5 cakes.
Music, murals, photography, flowers, cakes, architecture...always so much to admire in these walks you invite us to. Thanks 🤗
Oh, but I don't have an apple now for you 😔, we are on the road... Thank you for coming to these walks with us 🤗
Don't worry, I went prepared this time!!! 😄 Have a good trip. 🤗
It is always the food that catch my attention first.. Unique bread.. It looks creamilicious..
The bicycle artwork is cool...reminded me of the bicycling plan I haven't achieved yet, haha
It's a sign then for you for achieving that bicycling plan 🏁😃
Those cakes made me forget every other thing you have posted here
They look so good and I feel like tasting them
Beautiful city! And beautiful murals, I love the first one and the sculpture of the three women is amazing ....!!!
Even I took this walk among musicians, posters, murals, flowers and good company.... thanks for taking me... with the imagination!❤️
It was not a very long walk, around two hours or a bit less but we came across many things, as you can see 😃🥂
And I love them all, but you know the art.... is stronger than me!!!
How could you not eat the cake?!! That is totally unforgivable!
I know!!!
But I improved my behavior today and a chocolate mousse was ordered after the lunch:
😁
Such a small portion, I bet you didn't share that 🤣
How did you know? 😱 🤣
Beautiful murals! You resisted very well in front of those pastry treats haha, congrats for that!
I resisted yesterday but I had a sweet dessert today 😁 Chocolate mousse :))
haha, just one? Oh the mousse is so light that you feel like you barely had anything. Gosh sugar is really addictive we both know that. I mean..once I get my mouth on something sweet that I like, I can eat it in bucket quantities:))) This is why I trained myself to be super disciplined and avoid sugar as much as I can .
I had some phases of avoiding sugar completely, but then I always get back to it 🤐
Yes!!! I'm such a big fan of murals that basically running in any post that involves any of these makes my day, lol! Loved the first one!
I love to see nice ones also. Today we saw many other graffiti in a long wall, but I didn't take photos of those. 🤷🏻♀️
the spring flowers were nice to see no sign of them here yet, and love seeing the scukptures and such, but that first Mural just made me smile so colorful and fun
Thanks for joining the Wednesday Walk :)
Have a great day :)
So many blooming trees here, I think Spanish spring wants to arrive already 💮
hopefully it arrives here soon I am sick of the dull and cold days of winter

Very great and impressive art of work. It is a fact that university life as it is is very fast paced and in the same way one has to sharpen the mind to achieve success otherwise one has to face problems later on.
Hello, sometimes we are so busy with everyday life that we don't even notice the art in our environment. In my case, sometimes it is as if time stopped and showed me the reflection of light, colors and shapes, no matter how simple they may seem. greetings
You are right, we indeed are so busy sometimes, but seeing little details around us, or art can make our day :))
Oh, those cakes look do delicious 😋, although I think that they are huge churros, I couldn't go without buying one 😃😋😋🤭🤭🤭
They looked like huge churros but I was told they are not actually like churros. Now I am not anymore in Zaragoza to buy one and taste it hahaha
😂😂😂😂🤷🏻♀️ well, churros or not churros they look delicious 🤭🤭🤭
I love churros, they are delicious 😋😋😋😋😋
Separate the routine from the pleasure is something as human as our existence. In that sense, I feel just fine by reading your thoughts.
