I am happy to say that I can eat Kakinoha Sushi🍣. One of my favorite foods is Kakinoha Sushi🍣. I didn't know it was a local Kansai dish until I looked it up in the Internet. Well, it's delicious 🍴😆✨.

柿の葉寿司🍣が食べれると言う幸せ。わたしの好物の一つに「柿の葉寿司🍣」があります。調べるまでは、関西の郷土料理とは知りませんでした。いやー、旨い🍴😆✨

Kakinoha Sushi, a famous specialty of Nara Prefecture, is pressed sushi consisting of lightly vinegared mackerel, salmon, or other fish fillets on a bed of rice, wrapped in a persimmon leaf. It is said to be a local dish of the Yoshino region in Nara Prefecture, and its origins date back to the Edo period (1603-1868).

Unlike today, where transportation is provided by cars and airplanes, the only way to travel around Nara was by boat or horseback, and seafood from the sea was extremely difficult to obtain in inland areas. People wondered how to bring sea fish to inland regions such as Nara in an edible state, and the answer was to transport the fish in a preserved state, resulting in the creation of Kakinoha Sushi. "

「奈良県の名物として有名な「柿の葉寿司」は、軽く酢でしめた鯖や鮭などの魚の切り身をシャリの上に乗せて柿の葉で包んだ押し寿司です。奈良県の中でも主に吉野地方の郷土料理とされており、その起源は江戸時代まで遡るといわれています。

車や飛行機など交通手段が充実している現代と違って船か人・馬の足でしか移動が出来なかった時代、内陸地方において海で獲れる魚介類は極めて入手困難な食材でした。人々は「どうすれば奈良のような内陸地方にも海の魚を食べられる状態で届けることができるのだろうか」と考え、保存性を高めた状態で運送するという答えを導き出し、結果「柿の葉寿司」が生み出されたのです。 」
