Almuerzo Navideño.
Christmas Lunch.
Había llevado mi consola de videojuegos, PlayStation 4, para jugar con un par de títulos en cooperativo, como por ejemplo el Call of Duty Modern Warfare. Nos turnamos para que todos pudieran jugar; el que perdía pasaba el control y el que ganaba seguía jugando, pero a medida que llegaban más compañeros, tuvimos que cambiar ambos controles para que todos tuvieran la oportunidad de jugar. Esperábamos a que el almuerzo estuviese listo, pero en un momento casi aleatorio, mi amigo Kako se acerca hablándome sobre mi progreso con mi nueva rutina de plancha y, como todo buenos calisténicos, terminamos haciendo algo de plancha en plena sala de la casa de nuestro CEO Johnny.
Ya almorzamos, satisfechos y felices por una muy buena comida en la que todos colaboramos con cada ingrediente: hallacas, ensalada y creo que un pan de jamón comprado en el súper más cercano. Pasamos por varios juegos aparte de la PS4, Impostor, Adivina quién, pero mi favorito fue cuando le pedí permiso a Johnny para usar sus Meta Quest 2, lentes de VR casi nuevos que él había comprado hace medio año. Pasé por dos juegos, Beat Saber, el cual es un juego de ritmo estilo Guitar Hero pero con sables de luz, y por supuesto el gran y todopoderoso Resident Evil 4. Pasé casi 2 horas jugando hasta que tuve que regresar a casa para seguir trabajando. Un gran día, lo volvería a repetir sin dudas. Eso fue todo por hoy y espero verlos en mi siguiente post. 💪🏻

I had brought my PlayStation 4 to play a couple of games in co-op, like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. We took turns so everyone could play; whoever lost passed the controller and whoever won continued playing, but as more friends arrived, we had to switch both controllers so everyone had a chance to play. We were waiting for lunch to be ready, but at a seemingly random moment, my friend Kako approached me, talking about my progress with my new plank routine. And, like any good calisthenics enthusiast, we ended up doing some planks right there in the living room of our CEO Johnny's house.
We finally had lunch, satisfied and happy with a really good meal where everyone pitched in with every ingredient: hallacas, salad, and I think a ham bread bought at the nearest supermarket. We played several games besides the PS4—Impostor, Guess Who—but my favorite was when I asked Johnny for permission to use his Meta Quest 2, almost-new VR headset he'd bought six months ago. I played two games: Beat Saber, a rhythm game like Guitar Hero but with lightsabers, and of course, the great and almighty Resident Evil 4. I spent almost two hours playing until I had to go home to get back to work. A great day; I'd do it again in a heartbeat. That's all for today, and I hope to see you in my next post. 💪🏻
