Cowboys signing veteran pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney to one-year deal

Fresh off a huge win over the rival Giants on Sunday, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones announced that the team is adding a notable name to its pass rush.

Dallas is signing three-time Pro Bowl pass rusher Clowney, Jerry Jones told reporters on Sunday. It's a one-year deal for $3.5 million, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported.

The Clowney signing comes four days after he visited the team facility and was seen watching practice. His addition to Dallas' pass rush also comes over two weeks after the Cowboys traded Parsons who had been the defense's top edge talent for the last four years.

Clowney will now be asked to fill, in part, Parsons' cleats.
