A motion of disbelief for Barcelona president josep Maria Bartomeu
Good night all. Barcelona make sure no-confidence motion directed at the club's president, Josep Maria Bartomeu , will continue. Barcelona confirmed this after they found a sufficiently valid signature on the motion. A total of 20,687 members supported the motion of no confidence against Josep Maria Bartomeu . On Thursday (8/10/2020), the club revealed that the minimum threshold of 16,250 required to continue the process had been deemed authentic. After the final results are submitted and the review period has passed, the board of directors has between 10 and 20 working days to set a voting date.
The motion of no confidence in Bartomeu began last August when the Club captain, Lionel Messi, said he wanted to leave Barcelona. After several days of commencement, the number of members signing the motion immediately approached the minimum. Now that there are enough valid signatures to continue the motion, Bartomeu has the potential to be ousted from the presidency of the club before the presidential election to be held in March 2021.
However, Barcelona does not mean leaving Bartomeu alone without support. They as a club keep trying to support Bartomeu at times like this. The club's vice president for Barcelona, Jordi Cardoner, said this himself.
