Goodbye Alfred Riedl

Good night all. The sad news came from the former coach of the Indonesian national team, Alfred Riedl. Alfred Riedl died on Tuesday night Austrian time. He died at the age of 70 years.

For Indonesian football lovers, Riedl is one of the most successful coaches in Indonesia, the best achievement when bringing the Red and White team to finish as runner up in the 2010 AFF Cup. Riedl is the only coach who has coached the Indonesian national team in three different periods, 2010-2011, 2013-2014, and 2016-2017.

Riedl himself signed a contract with Persebaya Surabaya during the chamber season, but unfortunately the contract had to be canceled because suddenly he had to undergo heart bypass surgery.
