1er amistoso intergremial // 1st inter-guild friendly match
El día de ayer tuve la oportunidad de disputar el primer partido amistoso serio desde que estoy en el Colegio de Contadores Públicos del Estado Aragua. El gimnasio Alfredo “Ratón” Márquez fue el escenario ideal y perfecto para llevar a cabo este encuentro amistoso, el cual se disputó contra el equipo del gremio de periodistas, lo que convirtió a este partido en un encuentro intergremial. Tal y como se puede ver en las fotos, el gimnasio contaba con piso de tabloncillo, lo cual, sin dudas, aumentó el nivel en cuanto a la cancha y en cuanto a lo visual. Estas cosas, y lo digo por experiencia, hacen que, de alguna manera, te sientas mejor en el partido.
Haciendo una comparación con los anteriores partidos amistosos, esta vez asistimos nueve personas, lo cual dejaba cuatro oportunidades de cambio en un partido que iba a ser bastante exigente físicamente, ya que teníamos la información de que el equipo de periodistas era un equipo ya formado, un equipo que ya se conocía, y en ese sentido sabíamos que se venía un partido bastante complicado. Inicié el partido en el banquillo de suplentes, algo que es realmente lógico considerando que soy nuevo en el equipo y que ya muchos otros traen meses y hasta años de pertenecer al equipo. Eso, evidentemente, hace que quienes nos estemos integrando, ingresemos desde el banquillo, de manera tal que con el tiempo y con las demostraciones que podamos dar, podamos ir ganando tiempo en cancha.
Yesterday, I had the opportunity to play in my first serious friendly match since joining the Aragua State Association of Public Accountants. The Alfredo “Ratón” Márquez gym was the ideal and perfect setting for this friendly match, which was played against the journalists' union team, making it an inter-union match. As you can see in the photos, the gym had a hardwood floor, which undoubtedly raised the level of the court and the visual appeal. These things, and I speak from experience, somehow make you feel better during the game.
Compared to previous friendly matches, this time there were nine of us, which left four substitution opportunities in a game that was going to be quite physically demanding, as we knew that the journalists' team was already established, a team that knew each other well, and in that sense we knew it was going to be a pretty tough game. I started the game on the bench, which is really logical considering that I am new to the team and that many others have been with the team for months or even years. That obviously means that those of us who are new to the team start on the bench, so that with time and with the performances we can deliver, we can earn more time on the field.
Pero a pesar de eso, luego de cinco minutos del primer tiempo, pude ingresar y jugar prácticamente hasta el final del primer tiempo. Estimo que fueron unos 13 minutos de los 20 reglamentarios del primer tiempo los que pude jugar, lo cual ya generaba en mí cierta conformidad, considerando que son minutos que se deben jugar con muchísima intensidad. El partido se llevó a cabo de manera bastante pareja. Siempre el marcador se mantuvo igualado, con diferencias de uno o máximo dos goles, pero de alguna manera, se terminaba siempre empatando. Todo indicaba que el partido iba a terminar 5 a 5, sin embargo, en una jugada de último minuto, nuestro portero cometió un penalti imprudente, lo cual generó que el equipo contrario pudiera anotar desde el punto penal, para así llevarse la victoria 6 por 5.
Quedamos bastante conformes con nuestra actuación, considerando que ya ellos son un equipo bastante formado, y que nosotros, al ser algunos nuevos integrantes, aún estamos buscando un estilo de juego, aún seguimos buscando conocernos, repito, los más nuevos, ya que muchos de ellos también tienen cierto tiempo jugando en el equipo. En resumidas cuentas, me divertí muchísimo, la pasé bastante bien y espero con ansias poder volver a jugar en un escenario como este y en lo sucesivo, en algún campeonato regional o nacional, que ya tengo conocimiento que sí se suelen realizar.
But despite that, five minutes into the first half, I was able to come on and play practically until the end of the first half. I estimate that I played about 13 minutes of the 20 regulation minutes of the first half, which made me feel quite satisfied, considering that those are minutes that must be played with a lot of intensity. The match was fairly even. The score remained close throughout, with a difference of one or two goals at most, but somehow it always ended in a tie. Everything indicated that the game would end 5-5, but in a last-minute play, our goalkeeper committed a reckless penalty, which allowed the opposing team to score from the penalty spot and take the victory 6-5.
We were quite satisfied with our performance, considering that they are already a well-established team, and that we, as some of us are new members, are still looking for a style of play, we are still getting to know each other, I repeat, the newest members, since many of them have also been playing on the team for some time. In short, I had a lot of fun, I enjoyed myself, and I look forward to playing again in a setting like this and in the future, in a regional or national championship, which I know do take place.
Creo que jugar un campeonato nacional sería una experiencia única, no he vivido anteriormente algo como eso, unicamente he jugado campeonatos regionales y municipales, los cuales sé que son bastante distantes a lo que son partidos amistosos o partidos de práctica. Es así que esta fue mi experiencia del primer partido intergremial que pude disputar con el equipo del Colegio de Contadores Públicos del Estado Aragua. Espero en lo sucesivo seguir compartiendo estas vivencias deportivas las cuales disfruto muchísimo considerando que desde niño he sido un apasionado de este deporte. Fue un gusto compartir, nos vemos en una próxima oportunidad.
I think playing in a national championship would be a unique experience. I have never experienced anything like that before; I have only played in regional and municipal championships, which I know are quite different from friendly matches or practice matches. So, this was my experience of the first inter-guild match I was able to play with the team from the Aragua State Association of Public Accountants.
