Summary of date 2 Qatar 2022: Group B - C - D [ESP-ENG]
Hay una iniciativa increible de parte @hivebuzz para el mundial de Qatar 2022 a la que quise sumarme activamente a participar. Aqui tejo los detalles del concurso por si quieres unirte y ademas, voy a realizar estos resumenes diariamente con cada fecha del mundial para así apoyar al crecimiento del concurso.
There is an incredible initiative from @hivebuzz for the Qatar 2022 World Cup that I wanted to join actively to participate. Here are the details of the contest in case you want to join and also, I will make these summaries daily with each date of the world cup to support the growth of the pool contest.
Ha finalizado una nueva jornada mas en el mundial de Qatar y trajo consigo una tremenda sorpresa, la jornada abrió muy temprano con Arabia Saudita y Argentina, luego tuvimos a Dinamarca contra Túnez, Polonia enfrentando a Mexico y un cierre de jornada entre Francia y Australia.
Voy a iniciar este post de hoy con el resto de la jornada de ayer del grupo B, que no quise publicar porque por error envié el post del Grupo A cuando la jornada no habia finalizado y faltaba el segundo grupo. Desde mañana les estaré trayendo las jornadas resumidas de cada dia en orden, asi que disculpas por dejar el post de ayer incompleto.
Sin mas preámbulos, vamos a empezar con el resumen.
A new day of games has ended in the Qatar World Cup 2022 and it brought with it a tremendous surprise, the day opened very early with Saudi Arabia and Argentina, then we had Denmark against Tunisia, Poland facing Mexico and a closing match between France and Australia.
I am going to start this post with the rest of yesterday's matchday, which I did not want to publish because by mistake I sent the post of Group A when the matchday had not finished. From tomorrow I will be bringing you the summarized matchdays of each day in order, so apologies for leaving yesterday's post incomplete.
Without further ado, let's start with the summary.
Grupo B / Group B
England 6 - 2 Iran

Resumen del partido.
Inglaterra hizo su debut y no mostró piedad alguna ante una selección de Irán que esta pasando por un momento interno muy complicado debido a temas ajenos al futbol, a pesar del resultado el partido empezó muy trabado en el medio campo hasta que en el minuto 35 Harry Kane que hizo un partidazo logró encontrar el camino hacia el gol iniciando la jugada que abrió el marcador y luego asistiendo a Bukayo Saka para el segundo. A partir de ahí lo que vino fue un huracán de futbol que paso por encima de los iraníes y no dejó nada después de eso. El marcador lo dice todo, Irán logró maquillar un poco el resultado con dos goles fuera del contexto y que no sirven de mucho.
Mi opinión.
Sinceramente esperaba mucho mas de Iran y mucho menos de Inglaterra. La inclusión de Harry Maguire en el once inicial me pareció una locura total y en lo poco que jugó se mostró muy solido en defensa, lamentablemente salió lesionado. Creo que toda la situación social que rodea a Irán tiene la mente de los jugadores lejos del objetivo real que es su participación en el mundial, aunque por momentos parecieron jugarle de tu a tu a Inglaterra la realidad es que estaban a años luz siquiera de empatar este partido de ayer, Inglaterra se mostró demasiado superior aunque al mismo tiempo, un poco pasivos en defensa.
Match summary.
England made their debut on the world cup yesterday and showed no mercy against an Iranian team that is going through a very complicated internal moment due to issues unrelated to soccer, despite the result the match started very tight in the midfield until in the 35th minute Harry Kane who made a great game managed to find the way to the goal by initiating the play that opened the scoring and then assisting Bukayo Saka for the second. From there on what followed was a hurricane of soccer that blew through the Iranians and left nothing after that. The scoreboard says it all, Iran managed to make up a little the result with two goals out of context and that do not serve much.
My opinion.
I honestly expected much more from Iran team and much less from the England squad. The inclusion of Harry Maguire in the starting eleven seemed totally crazy to me and in the little he played he was very solid in defense, unfortunately he was injured. I think that the whole social situation surrounding Iran has the players' minds far from the real objective which is their participation in the World Cup, although at times they seemed to play one on one with England the reality is that they were light years away from even tying this match yesterday, England was too superior but at the same time, a little passive in defense.
USA 0 - 0 Wales

Estados Unidos y Gales no pudieron sacarse diferencias el día de ayer en un partido muy trabado en el medio campo y en el que ambos porteros estuvieron muy finos. Estados Unidos dominó el balón en casi todo el partido y eso se notó en el marcador que abrió Weah con una gran jugada de contra de los norteamericanos, pero ese dominio se fue apagando conforme Gales fue creciendo en el campo con Gareth Bale como gran figura, que cerca del final puso la paridad tras un penal muy bien cobrado para dejar el marcador en tablas.
Mi opinión.
Este fue oficialmente mi primer fallo en el concurso, pues yo había hecho mi apuesta al equipo americano. Quienes creo que tienen mejores herramientas en el campo que los europeos pero que no supieron traducir eso en goles, Estados Unidos tuvo casi un 20% mas de posesion de balon total pero la mayoria de esa posesion fue en propio campo y por minutos se mostraba sin ideas sobre el campo, salvo Pulisic que estuvo metido en el partido durante los 90 minutos, el resto de jugadores parecia que se conectaban y desconectaban. Mas por demerito del rival que por merito propio, los de Gareth Bale pudieron crecer en el partido hasta superar a Estados Unidos, un partido que facilmente pudo terminar en victoria de los europeos.
Match summary.
The United States and Wales could not make a difference on their game yesterday in a very tight game in the midfield and in which both goalkeepers were very good. The United States dominated the ball almost all the match and that was noticeable in the scoreboard that Weah opened with a great counter play of the Americans, but that dominance was fading as Wales was growing in the field with Gareth Bale as a great figure, who near the end put the parity after a penalty very well charged to leave the scoreboard in a draw.
My opinion.
This was officially my first failure in the contest of Hivebuzz, as I had placed my bet on the American team. Because I think they have better tools on the field than the Europeans but they didn't know how to translate that into goals on this match yesterday, the US had almost 20% more total ball possession but most of that possession was in their own half and for minutes they showed no ideas on the field, except for Pulisic who was in the game during the 90 minutes, the rest of the players seemed to connect and disconnect. More by demerit of the rival than by their own merit, Gareth Bale's team was able to grow in the match until overcoming the United States, a match that could easily have ended in victory for the Europeans.

Inglaterra se pone primero y con una muy buena diferencia de goles, dejando la mesa casi servida para su clasificación a octavos, pues los dos equipos que parecían que podían competirle a algo en este grupo no se sacaron ventajas, sin embargo es muy temprano para sacar una conclusión pues incluso Irán tiene chances de clasificar todavía pues sus dos partidos restantes son contra el segundo y el tercero.
This is the group now.
The England team takes first place and with a very good goal difference, leaving the table almost set for their qualification to the round of 16, as the two teams that looked like they could compete for something in this group did not take advantage of each other, however it is too early to draw a conclusion as even Iran still has a chance to qualify as their two remaining matches are against the second and the third team.
Grupo C / Group C
Argentina 1 - 2 Saudi Arabia

Resumen del partido.
Esta es la primera gran sorpresa de la copa del mundo. Argentina llegaba a este mundial como una de las favoritas por el gran juego que muestra el equipo de Scaloni y Arabia Saudita es de los equipos mas debiles del torneo. La realidad fue que el equipo sudamericano salio muy ansioso a jugar este partido y con una falta de conduccion muy notable, sin embargo todo parecia encaminado a una nueva goleada cuando Messi puso el 1-0 tras un penal que es por lo menos, discutible. El equipo no logró cuajar y de a poco se fue desordenando mas y mas, hasta que en el segundo tiempo en un revuelo de 5 minutos Arabia Saudita con dos golazos le dio la vuelta al marcardor y dejo a los Argentinos en el terreno.
Mi opinion.
Para mi Lionel Scaloni se sintió ganador antes de empezar el partido y por eso no colocó a un suplente natural para el lesionado Lo Celso si no que optó por un estilo mas ofensivo al colocar a Gomez, que se vio muy mal en el partido, varios de los jugadores argentinos tuvieron un partido muy muy malo y eso sumado a que los arabes jugaron uno de los mejores partidos de sus vidas se tradujo en este sorpresivo marcador que me hizo perder otra medalla, como seguramente le sucedio a muchos. De hecho hasta donde lei solo dos personas de todos los participantes acertaron este resultado.
Match summary.
This is the first big surprise of the World Cup. Argentina came to this World Cup as one of the favorites because of the great game that Scaloni's team shows and Saudi Arabia is one of the weakest teams of the tournament. The reality was that the South American team came out very anxious to play this game and with a very noticeable lack of leadership, however everything seemed to be heading for another goal when Messi put the 1-0 after a penalty that is at least debatable. The team did not manage to get it together and little by little it became more and more disorganized, until in the second half in a 5 minute scramble Saudi Arabia with two great goals turned the score around and left the Argentines on the ground.
My opinion.
For me Lionel Scaloni felt he was the winner of this game before the game started and that's why he didn't put a natural substitute for the injured Lo Celso, very important in the scheme, he opted for a more offensive style by putting Gomez, who looked very bad in the game, several of the Argentine players had a very bad game and that added to the fact that the Arabs played one of the best games of their lives resulted in this surprising score that made me lose another medal, as I'm sure happened to many. In fact as far as I read only two people out of all the participants guessed this result.
Mexico 0 - 0 Poland
Resumen del partido.
Mexico y Polonia se enfrentaron en este partido que estuvo dominado en su mayoría por los polacos pero se encontraron con una defensa muy correcta y sobre todo con portero que siempre parece triplicar su talento y sus capacidades en los mundiales, Guillermo Ochoa, que le detuvo un penal a Robert Lewandowski. El partido terminó en empate dejando todo muy abierto en este grupo.
Mi opinion.
Creo que los argentinos van a celebrar este empate con fervor, porque con seis puntos en disputa todavía es muy positivo que solo uno los separe de ambas selecciones, a las que va a enfrentar en las próximas dos jornadas. Cada equipo depende de si mismo por ahora pero el guion del grupo se mostró todo lo contrario a lo que se esperaba, pues Mexico y Polonia empezaban como rivales directos suponiendo que Argentina iba a dominar el grupo, ellos dos no lograron sacarse diferencias y Argentina cayó contra la que todos daban por fuera desde el inicio, este grupo va a estar muy emocionante con estos resultados de hoy.
Match Summary.
Mexico and Poland faced each other in this match that was mostly dominated by the europeans but they were faced with a very correct defense and above all with a goalkeeper who always seems to triple his talent and capabilities in the World Cups, Guillermo Ochoa, who saved a penalty from Robert Lewandowski. The match ended in a draw leaving everything wide open in this group.
My opinion.
I think the Argentines will celebrate this draw with fervor, because with six points still in dispute, it is very positive that only one point separates them from both teams, which they will face in the next two matchdays. Each team depends on itself for now but the script of the group was the opposite of what was expected, as Mexico and Poland started as direct rivals assuming that Argentina would dominate the group, they both failed to get differences and Argentina fell against the team that everyone thought they were out from the beginning, this group is going to be very exciting with these results today.

Nadie hubiese creido esto si se lo hubieses dicho ayer, pero Arabia Saudita esta primero y con ventaja sobre todos los demas, con dos jornadas mas por jugarse este grupo se pone muy cerrado ya que todos dependen de si mismos para pasar, pero todos necesitan ganar para no quedarse fuera. Por supuesto Argentina con la derrota se puso la clasificacion muy cuesta arriba pero el empate entre Mexicanos y Polacos les deja abierta la posibilidad de continuar en el torneo.
This is the group now.
Nobody would have believed this if you had told them yesterday before the games, but Saudi Arabia is first and with an advantage over all the others, with two more rounds to play this group is getting very close as everyone depends on themselves to go through, but everyone needs to win to avoid being left out. Of course Argentina with the defeat made the qualification very difficult but the draw between Mexicans and Poles leaves them open the possibility to continue in the tournament.
Grupo D | Group D
Denmark 0 - 0 Tunisia
Resumen del partido.
Otro empate a 0 en el que ninguno de los dos equipos logró mostrar nada contra su rival, Dinamarca dominó a Túnez en todo excepto en lo mas importante, el marcador. Con una posesión de balón de casi el doble (62%-38%) y 5 tiros al arco contra 1 de los africanos y hasta un gol anulado por el VAR, a Dinamarca no le queda mas que conformarse con saber que tuvieron un mejor juego que Túnez.
Mi opinión.
Este para mi es de lejos el partido mas aburrido del mundial hasta ahora, Dinamarca tiene una defensa decente y un mediocampo muy bien manejado por Eriksen pero que pareciera que hay una pieza que falta para que su engranaje funcione, creo que la lesion de Delaney mermó los planes iniciales de los europeos y a mi parecer, Yussuf Poulsen deberia ser titular en el ataque. Hablando de Túnez me ha parecido muy flojo lo que mostraron hoy, salieron al campo sin una idea de juego mas alla de la contra en alguna jugada abierta y creo que ir a una copa del mundo a jugar asi no es profesional, deben mejorar mucho su manera de competir.
Match summary.
Another 0-0 draw in which neither team managed to show anything against their opponents, Denmark dominated Tunisia in everything except the most important thing, the score. With almost double the ball possession (62%-38%) and 5 shots on goal against 1 from the Africans and even a goal disallowed by VAR, Denmark can only be satisfied with knowing that they had a better game than Tunisia.
My opinion.
This for me is by far the most boring game of the World Cup so far, Denmark has a decent defense and a midfield very well managed by Eriksen but it seems that there is a missing piece to make it work, I think the injury of Delaney undermined the initial plans of the Europeans and in my opinion, Yussuf Poulsen should be a starter in attack. Speaking of Tunisia, I found what they showed today very weak, they came out to the field without an idea of the game beyond the counter in some open play and I think that going to a World Cup to play like that is not professional, they should improve a lot their way of competing.
France 4 - 1 Australia

Resumen del partido.
Parecia que se venia otra sorpresa en la copa cuando Australia en apenas 9 minutos ya estaba ganando 1-0, ademas en esa jugada del gol se lesiono Lucas Hernandez que parece que se perdera el resto de la copa, y todo eso sumado a la interminable lista de lesiones del equipo europeo daba pie a pensar que Francia iba a empezar a cumplir con la maldicion del campeon, pero 18 minutos despues del gol australiano Adrien Rabiot puso el empate y a partir de ahi Francia se convirtio en un tren que se llevó por delante a los Socceroos y terminó ganándoles 4 goles a 1 con una actuación increíble de Mbappé, Dembele, Griezmann y sobre todo de Giroud.
Mi opinion.
Creo que Francia hoy mostró que es de lejos el mejor equipo de este grupo y que va a competir por revalidar su titulo de campeon, con una baja muy sensible y ademas con el 0-1 en contra el equipo nunca se desarmó ni dejo de creer en su idea y a pesar de casi medio equipo titular esta de baja por lesion, los galos no bajaron el ritmo y terminaron ganando, goleando y gustando. Hasta ahora son los que mejor desempeño han tenido junto con Inglaterra.
Summary of the match.
It seemed that another big surprise was coming in the Qatar world cup when Australia in just 9 minutes was already leading 1-0 on this match, also in that goal Lucas Hernandez was injured and it seems that he will miss the rest of the cup, and all that added to the endless list of injuries of the European team gave reason to think that France was going to start to fulfill the curse of the champion, but 18 minutes after the Australian goal Adrien Rabiot put the equalizer and from then on France became a train that took the Socceroos by storm and ended up beating them 4 goals to 1 with an incredible performance by Mbappé, Dembele, Griezmann and especially Giroud.
My opinion.
I think France today showed that they are by far the best team in this group and that they will compete to revalidate their championship title, with a very sensitive casualty and also with the 0-1 against the team never disarmed or stopped believing in their idea and despite almost half of the starting team is out injured, the Gauls did not slow down and ended up winning, scoring and liking. So far they are the best performers along with England.

Por lo mostrado hoy, Francia parece que va a liderar este grupo sin ningun problema, dejando solo un cupo para tres selecciones que pueden competirse muy bien entre ellas y que parecen jugar a niveles similares, así que esa lucha por el segundo lugar va a estar bastante cerrada a mi parecer. Sim embargo, hay mucho camino por delante en esta copa del mundo.
This is the group now.
From what all the teams was shown today, France seems to be leading this group without any problem, leaving only one place for three teams that can compete very well with each other and seem to play at similar levels, so the fight for second place is going to be pretty close in my opinion. However, there is a long way to go in this World Cup.
Lo que viene.
Mañana se vienen partidos emocionantes de los grupos E y F, debutarán Alemania, España, Japon, Costa Rica, belgica, Canada, Croacia y Marruecos en una jornada similar a la del dia de hoy, por ahora 4 jugadores se disputan la bota de oro con dos goles cada uno, mientras que Harry Kane lidera la tabla de asistencias con 2. Se viene una jornada muy interesante mañana que espero que puedas disfrutar y si por alguna razon no puedes, recuerda que aqui voy a estar yo para resumiterlo.
