New personal best 5KM Run


I usually try to break my personal best every Monday but yesterday I was still too tiered so I cycled 15 Km instead of going for my usual run.
I wasn’t planning on going for a run today either but the weather was better than anticipated so I decided to gear up and give it a go. I completely forgot that I skipped my record breaking run the day before and just started running with no specific goal, once I reached the second kilometre I noticed that I was going quite faster than usual so I tried to hold the same pace for the entire run and break my previous PB.
It’s getting easier every week and I feel like I’m breathing way better than before while running, my biggest limitation wasn’t my legs but my lungs. After years of smoking and not exercising that much I would run out of breath while still having legs to keep going for a lot longer.

It looks like it will start raining tomorrow and it will keep raining until the end of the month. I really wanted to keep my running routine but I refuse to run while it raining, my route is quite terrible for rainy days and I don’t want to risk damaging my AirPods. I bough a static bicycle a year ago so I will start going at it instead…
I will be applying the same principle of pushing for weekly improvements on my cycling just like I did with my running routine to keep me motivated!
