Comenzaron los encuentros de vuelta de los cuartos de final de la "UEFA Women's Champions League"; esta fase que disputó los encuentros de ida la pasada semana nos demostró la paridad entre los equipos clasificados como son Arsenal CF, Chelsea CF, Bayern Munich, VfL Wolfsburgo, Olympique Lyon, PSG, AS Roma y FC Barcelona; cada encuentro corriente a cada cruce se decidió por el resultado de un gol a cero; justamente eso creo incertidumbre y expectativas en los aficionados de dichos equipos porque todo quedó abierto para la disputa de un puesto a las semifinales en los encuentros de vuelta. Para este miércoles se llevó a cabo dos encuentros, los cuales correspondía a los enfrentamientos entre FC Barcelona vs. AS Roma y Arsenal CF vs. Bayern Munich; uno de estos encuentros se disputaría en el Spotify Camp Nou y el otro en el Emirates Stadium.

A primera hora se llevó a cabo el encuentro entre dos clubes que en la actualidad lideran sus respectivas ligas; tanto el Barça cómo la Roma están teniendo una gran temporada demostrando una buena calidad de fútbol y eso se pudo evidenciar en la pasada semana cuando ambos clubes disputaron el encuentro de ida el cual terminó con un resultado favorable para el club catalán de un gol a cero; este fue un juego que la portera azulgrana, Sandra Paños, tuvo una destacada actuación; esto haría pensar que para este juego de vuelta posiblemente se volvería a ver este tipo de paridad aunque el club de la capital de Italia estaba obligada a arriesgar para empatar la eliminatoria; muchas expectativas y seguramente esperanzas de las romanistas para primeramente repetir su anterior actuación en este torneo y después mejorarla para sorprender a una de las favoritas para ganarlo, pero la realidad es otra, ya que el Camp Nou, este grupo de mujeres culés tuvieron una contundente actuación sobre su rival de turno.

Al FC Barcelona femenino le bastó once minutos del primer tiempo para adelantarse en el marcador y aumentar su ventaja contra su rival. Para este encuentro, el entrenador Giráldez Costas, decidió usar una delantera de veloz y de calidad, Hansen, Oshoala y Selma, son un tridente potente que todavía falta por funcionar bien y es que las lesiones han cortado esa unión entre ellas, pero hoy estaban para jugar y en mi opinión hicieron un gran papel porque entendieron el juego; las tres fueron parte del primero y tercer gol, el cual fue anotado por Rolfo, quien juega de lateral izquierdo; el tercer gol fue un potente disparo fuera del área de la defensa central Mapi León y que seguramente cerró lo que es la eliminatoria, pero el club azulgrana no pensaba así y en los primeros 10 minutos del segundo tiempo anotaría dos goles más para así hacer imposible que la Roma tuviera un chance de arrebatarle a las Culés su pase a semifinales.

El segundo encuentro de vuelta por los cuartos de final lo disputaron, el Arsenal y Bayern; ambos clubes luchan en sus respectivas e igualadas ligas; el Bayern Munich es el actual líder de la Bundesliga Femenina, a tan solo un punto de ventaja sobre el Wolfsburgo, en cambio, el Arsenal se encuentra en la cuarta posición de la FA WSL 1 o "Barclays Women's Super League", en dónde solo tres puntos la separan de la primera posición que comparte los dos clubes de Manchester. Este encuentro también creó mucha expectativa por la manera de jugar de ambos equipos; el Arsenal es sumamente ofensivo y el Bayern es muy ordenado tanto en ataque como en defensa, estás cualidades se esperaban ver en este encuentro definitorio, aunque el club Bávaro demostró falencias por una extraña decisión de su entrenador de defender el corto resultado a favor obtenido en el juego de ida; una mala decisión que le valió al Arsenal entrando por Jonas Eidevall, el adueñarse del juego y dominarlo por completo.

Entre defender tan temprano un marcador a favor y el ser víctima de la gran presión de su rival; el Bayern de Munich vio como su posibilidad de ser parte de la semifinal de esta temporada se diluyó cuando el Arsenal no solo empató el juego con un golazo de Maanun sino también por el gol que le daba el pase a la siguiente fase anotado por Blackstenius; ellas no solo ocasionaron un gran peligro para la defensa del Bayern, ya que la jugadora portadora del 19 en la espalda, de nombre Foord, extrema izquierda, junto a McCabe, lateral izquierdo, fueron quienes crearon muchas ocasiones y es que sin la actuación de Grohs, portera del Bayern, seguramente ese juego hubiera terminado por goleada. Lamentablemente, para el club alemán, nunca pudieron levantar el nivel y anotar un ansiado gol que obligaría a disputar 30 minutos extras y es que el segundo tiempo fue un simple trámite en dónde ninguno de los dos equipos pudo hacer más y creo que el desgaste realizado en el primer tiempo paso factura a ambos equipos y en dónde solo el beneficiado fue el equipo local quien si demostró actitud y las ganas de salir victorioso en este encuentro.

Para el día de mañana se disputan los otros dos encuentros de vuelta por los cuartos de final y en dónde se enfrentan VfL Wolfsburgo vs. PSG y Chelsea vs. Olympique Lyon; recordemos que ambos clubes franceses cayeron en los encuentros de ida por el marcado de un gol a cero; tengo muchas expectativas por estos dos encuentros, ya que esta presenta la oportunidad de que el actual campeón de la WUCL quedé eliminado de igual manera el PSG que así como sucede con el equipo masculino, en esta temporada hizo un gasto para figurar en este importante torneo de clubes.
