Ha dado comienzo al torneo clasificatorio de Conmebol al Mundial de Fútbol Femenino a disputarse en Brasil en el 2027 con un torneo el cual ha recibido el nombre de "Conmebol Liga de Naciones Femenina"; en esta oportunidad las nueve selecciones participantes (Brasil no será parte por ser sede), disputarán ocho encuentros, cuatro de local y cuatro de visitante; lo cual al finalizar el torneo, las selecciones que queden tanto en el primer como el segundo puesto tendrá una clasificación directa al mundial de fútbol y quienes queden en el tercer y cuarto puesto, deberán ser parte del repechaje; este torneo se llevará a cabo desde el 24 de octubre hasta el 6 de junio del próximo año.

The CONMEBOL qualifying tournament for the Women's World Cup to be held in Brazil in 2027 has begun with a tournament called the "CONMEBOL Women's Nations League". On this occasion, the nine participating teams (Brazil will not be taking part as it is the host country) will play eight matches, four at home and four away. At the end of the tournament, the teams finishing in first and second place will qualify directly for the World Cup, while those finishing in third and fourth place will have to take part in a play-off. This tournament will take place from October 24 to June 6 of next year.
Cómo dije anteriormente, de la Liga de Naciones, las dos primeras selecciones obtendrán la clasificación al mundial de manera directa, en cambio, quienes queden tanto en el tercer como cuarto lugar, irán al repechaje; personalmente creo que tanto Colombia como Argentina serán las selecciones a quedar en el primer y segundo puesto lo cual abre un abanico de posibilidades a las otras 7 selecciones restantes para disputarse los dos puestos del repechaje; es por eso que selecciones como Chile, Uruguay, Ecuador, Perú, Paraguay y Venezuela, tendrán las mismas posibilidades para ser parte del mundial lo cual genera una alta competitividad en selecciones que siendo sincero no creo que estén al nivel tanto de Brasil, Colombia y ahora Argentina, pero a pesar de no tener una calidad óptima creo que sus limitaciones pueden generar una competitividad atractiva, ya que de igual manera, este es un torneo clasificatorio a un mundial de fútbol.

As I said earlier, the top two teams in the Nations League will qualify directly for the World Cup, while those in third and fourth place will go to the playoffs. Personally, I believe that Colombia and Argentina will finish in first and second place, which opens up a range of possibilities for the remaining seven teams to compete for the two playoff spots. That is why teams such as Chile, Uruguay, Ecuador, Peru, Paraguay, and Venezuela will have the same chances of qualifying for the World Cup, which creates a high level of competitiveness among teams that, to be honest, I do not believe are at the same level as Brazil, Colombia, and now Argentina. However, despite not being of the highest quality, I believe that their limitations can generate an attractive level of competitiveness, since this is still a qualifying tournament for the World Cup.
A pesar de las notorias dificultades que tiene La Vinotinto Femenina para ser parte del repechaje, de igual manera tengo expectativas por ver la participación de un equipo en donde hace 9 años, las jugadoras del primer equipo deslumbraron al fútbol venezolano y de Suramérica cuando apenas eran unas adolescentes; lamentablemente el duro camino que han debido transitar por un erróneo apoyo y mala dirección generó una involución en un grupo el cual consideré como la esperanza del fútbol de mi país; eso hace que posiblemente en este nuevo formato clasificatorio para un mundial, pueda convertirse en un episodio de redención o de por lo menos comenzar un nuevo camino para retomar la esperanza de que el fútbol femenino venezolano, aunque siendo muy sincero, el daño que se le ha hecho al fútbol femenino posiblemente sea duro de superar y solo queda competir para influir en futuras generaciones, pero para lograr eso se debe obligatoriamente conseguir resultados positivos y lamentablemente eso pareciera no suceder de manera inmediata.

Despite the obvious difficulties faced by La Vinotinto Femenina in qualifying for the playoffs, I still have high hopes for this team, whose first-team players dazzled Venezuelan and South American soccer nine years ago when they were just teenagers. Unfortunately, the difficult path they have had to travel due to misguided support and poor management has led to a decline in a group that I considered to be the hope of soccer in my country. This means that this new World Cup qualifying format could possibly become an episode of redemption or at least the start of a new path to regain hope for Venezuelan women's soccer. However, to be very honest, the damage that has been done to women's soccer may be difficult to overcome, and all that remains is to compete to influence future generations. But to achieve that, positive results must be achieved, and unfortunately, that does not seem to be happening immediately.
Venezuela empató a cero con su similar de Chile; en un encuentro muy disputado, La Vinotinto Femenina no pudo doblegar a un rival que para muchos era considerado de menor categoría, creo que esa es una opinión muy errada porque Venezuela no goza de practicar un buen fútbol y eso hace que cada encuentro que no sea contra Colombia y Argentina, presentará dificultad desde la igualdad de condiciones; a pesar de lo antes dicho, la selección dirigida por Ricardo Belli, intentó ganar el encuentro generando presión a su rival, una táctica mejor hecha en el primer tiempo dónde las locales dominaron el balón, pero que lamentablemente no pudieron generar jugadas de peligro al no decidir y finalizar de mejor manera en el tercio final del campo de juego; lamentablemente el alto porcentaje de posesión del balón no pudo convertirse en ocasiones reales de gol y por supuesto no existió ninguna anotación, creo que primeramente la ansiedad y posteriormente la frustración fueron factores que influyeron en las jugadoras y junto al desgaste físico fue lo que impidió que en el segundo tiempo se pudiera obtener una importante victoria contra un rival directo.

Venezuela tied Chile 0-0 in a hard-fought match. La Vinotinto Femenina was unable to defeat an opponent that many considered to be of a lower caliber. I think that is a very mistaken opinion because Venezuela does not enjoy playing good soccer, and that means that every match that is not against Colombia or Argentina will be difficult under equal conditions. Despite this, the team led by Ricardo Belli tried to win the match by putting pressure on their opponents, a tactic that worked better in the first half, where the home team dominated possession but unfortunately failed to create any dangerous chances due to a lack of decisiveness and finishing in the final third of the pitch. Unfortunately, the high percentage of ball possession could not be converted into real scoring opportunities and, of course, there were no goals. I believe that anxiety and then frustration were factors that influenced the players and, together with physical exhaustion, prevented them from achieving an important victory against a direct rival in the second half.
Mientras transcurría el encuentro y vea los rostros de jugadores ya habituales en la selección y el esfuerzo que mostraban para practicar un buen fútbol, mi molestia aumentaba a causa de la perdida de tiempo que tuvo la Federación Venezolana de Fútbol al mantener a Pamela Conti y su hermano como líderes tanto del primer equipo como del SUB-20 y SUB-17; ese daño que todavía parece ser irreparable me hace pensar que todavía la FVF no cree en el fútbol femenino al no generar más soluciones para revertir la situación, esto lo digo porque en el primer encuentro de La Liga de Naciones, era notorio el ver qué este equipo necesita rodaje para poner en práctica las técnicas del nuevo cuerpo técnico, un poco más de rodaje, más práctica, más compenetración entre las jugadoras lo cual se logra con amistosos y demás, actividades que no tuvieron el equipo antes de comenzar este importante torneo y que creo que son más necesarias que nunca porque el talento está en muchos de sus jugadores y de las cuales aceptan que fueron parte de una etapa errónea y que espero tengan el hambre para dejar huellas en el fútbol venezolano. El próximo martes, La Vinotinto nuevamente hará presencia en este torneo al enfrentar a la selección de Paraguay; esperemos que las jugadoras se recuperen satisfactoriamente y muestren un mejor nivel de lo que demostraron contra Chile.

As the match went on and I saw the faces of the regular players in the national team and the effort they were putting into playing good soccer, my annoyance grew because of the time wasted by the Venezuelan Soccer Federation in keeping Pamela Conti and her brother as leaders of both the first team and the U-20 and U-17 teams. This damage, which still seems irreparable, makes me think that the FVF still does not believe in women's soccer, as it has not come up with any solutions to reverse the situation. I say this because in the first match of the Nations League, it was clear to see that this team needs more playing time to put the new coaching staff's techniques into practice, a little more playing time, more practice, more rapport between the players, which is achieved through friendly matches and other activities activities that the team did not have before starting this important tournament and which I believe are more necessary than ever because the talent is there in many of its players, who accept that they were part of a misguided phase and who I hope have the hunger to leave their mark on Venezuelan football. Next Tuesday, La Vinotinto will once again take the field in this tournament when they face Paraguay. Let's hope the players recover satisfactorily and perform better than they did against Chile.
