A pesar de que el Chelsea es uno de los grandes clubes con peor desempeño en torneos locales; hay que decir que jugar en la UCL es una oportunidad para demostrar algo diferente, sea buen juego o hasta tener suerte, que al final siempre es determinante en esta fase del torneo. En lo que va de año, en todas las competiciones, el Chelsea ha disputado 12 partidos de los cuales solamente ha empatado dos veces, ganado dos veces y perdido ocho partidos; para nada alentador para un club que ha gastado mucho dinero y que cuenta con jugadores de suma calidad; justamente esa presión debería ser el detonante para que este club con una gran necesidad pueda reaccionar para dar una alegría a ellos mismos y todos sus aficionados y estaba convencido de que hoy era el momento especial para este club de dar ese paso adelante y mostrar la gran calidad que tiene porque en mi opinión, el BVB era el club perfecto para hacer eso y no digo que el club alemán tenga menor calidad, me refiero a la paridad entre ambos equipos y eso hace que pequeños detalles podrá influenciar en el resultado final.

No hay duda que Graham Potter debe ser uno de los entrenadores en la actualidad con la mayor presión por obtener buenos resultados y a pesar de numerosas derrotas, creo que las palabras de Pep Guardiola en defensa a Potter, retumbaron en la nueva directiva del Chelsea y por eso se mantiene en el campo y por los momentos, el día de hoy tanto él y su equipo respondieron a las expectativas. Por esa presión liderada tanto por Enzo como por Kovačić el cual junto a un muy concentrado Cucurella fue suficiente para opacar a toda idea de ataque por parte del club visitante, de esa manera, mostrando velocidad, calidad y mucha actitud es que el Chelsea consiguió los dos goles que fueron suficiente para llevar a este herido club a una nueva fase de la UEFA Champions League.
