Fitness: 29th August 2023 + A Did You Know Fitness Question

Good Morning

Yesterday night was really tiresome, and I had to crash by 10:30 p.m. That hadn’t happened in a long time. Anyway, that allowed me to get up early today. I was up by 4 a.m. but then went back to sleep. But within an hour I got up again. All this happened without an alarm.

Since I was up and my mind and body refused to go back to bed, I had to do the best thing I knew about. Yeah, that’s the one, the morning run. So, with intermittent rains, the roads were wet and dry in patches but not something too difficult to handle.

I got out by 5:55 a.m.

I did a four-and-a-half kilometer run. Oddly, my ankles did not agree with me on the run. Both hurt like crazy and even after five hours, the left one refuses to let up. Well, I have a real high tolerance for pain, so it is not much of an issue. But this only means that I will be going out once again tomorrow.

Anyway, once home, I did about five minutes of weights. Yes, only five minutes as I was rushing through my morning chores. I wanted to meditate, but there were too many things going on around, so I kept that for some time later in the day. I did go through a few sessions of Ho’oponopono because I could do that on the go. It is always a welcome thing to do and a great way to wind up my morning schedule.

Here is my write-up on the topic for those wanting to know more about Ho'oponopono.

Have fun reading and practicing.

Anyway, that's it from me for now. I will see you all tomorrow.

Namaste.

Did You Know?

About a year back, I had written about the abdominal plank record belonging to George Hood of the USA. The timing was an impressive and astounding 8 hours 15 minutes and 15 seconds. What is even more astounding is that this is not the record anymore.

Daniel Scali of Australia is the new abdominal plank record holder. Daniel stayed in the plank position for 9 hours 30 minutes and 1 second. That’s more than an hour over the previous record.

Both George and Daniel are people to look up to, as George was 62 years old when he made his record, while Daniel has Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), leaving his left arm in constant pain!

Respect!
