New MTB track found - My Actifit Report Card: October 9 2025

Thursday is my regular day off, I started easy with a good breakfast and playing some splinterlands battles until the kids left the house for school.

Then I worked on my mountain bike, making some adjustments to my brake lever positions which I temporarily needed to remove one rubber hand grip for, thanks to YouTube I learned it goes off (and on) a lot easier when you blow pressured air under the rubber, it worked great!

Now I can brake with only my index fingers, having the rest of my hand free for a good grip.

Then I changed in to my cycling gear and went for a ride to a MTB trail I never been before.

I had my first crash, I'm still a beginner so learning as I go, no one was around so that was nice, the bermed corners are something I need to practice but after a couple of tries it already went a bit smoother.

When I started the trail, I wanted to drop my saddle for better body mobility on the technical parts to find out the saddle pen is way too long and it could only drop about 1 centimeter 😅

So, after a shower and hosing the dirt away and lubricating the chain I cut the saddle pen about 12 centimeters so next time I can actually lower my saddle.

The area is really pretty, it's a swimming / recreation area where they now made a MTB track on, very cool and it's free to use for everyone.

After a good meal I removed the marigolds and tomatoes from the back garden to prepare for winter.

Around dinner time, I cycled on my normal city bike to drop off my daughter to judo and pick her up again, bringing my total kilometers for today at around 50.
