Arrancamos la semana bien activos y con las pilas puestas. En esta oportunidad, les traigo un reporte que me tiene bastante contento porque, después de un buen tiempo alejado del asfalto, por fin estoy de vuelta con los trotes semanales. Ya me hacía falta esa sensación de despejar la mente mientras se queman algunas calorías.

​Mi día empezó temprano, a eso de las 6:10 a.m., pero sin presiones. Me levanté con toda la calma del mundo, me alisté y salí en ayunas, listo para ver qué tal respondía el cuerpo. El punto de partida fue la Cancha Deportiva “Los Precursores”. Para mi sorpresa, desde el primer kilómetro me sentí bastante ligero; no tuve problemas para mantener un ritmo constante por todo el trayecto principal de la urbanización.

​Al llegar a la esquina de “Full Crema”, crucé a la derecha para dirigirme hacia el Comando. Mi plan original era terminar el recorrido ahí y dar la vuelta, pero como me sentía con buena energía, me entró la duda: “¿Y si trotamos un poco más hasta llegar a Villa Betania?”. No lo pensé mucho y le di sin mente. Aproveché que el ritmo era fluido y quise sacarle el jugo a ese “segundo aire” que me pegó.

​De regreso, para ponerle un poco de picante al asunto, me lancé un tramo de sprint en el camino empinado que está por esa zona. No les voy a mentir, ese repecho me dejó liquidado, tal cual como lo recordaba de mis mejores tiempos. Tuve que bajarle dos a la intensidad y mantuve el trote como pude hasta llegar de nuevo al Comando. Allí decidí caminar un poco para recuperar el aliento mientras pasaba frente al Colegio Luis Beltrán Prieto Figueroa, y una vez que el corazón se calmó, retomé el trote final hasta llegar a mi casa.

​En resumen, fue una jornada excelente. A pesar del tiempo que estuve parado, el cuerpo tiene memoria y me respondió bien. Sin más por el momento, ¡nos vemos en el próximo reporte!

We're kicking off the week feeling energetic and ready to go. This time, I'm bringing you a report that makes me quite happy because, after a long time away from the pavement, I'm finally back to my weekly runs. I really needed that feeling of clearing my mind while burning some calories.

My day started early, around 6:10 a.m., but without any pressure. I got up calmly, got ready, and went out on an empty stomach, ready to see how my body would respond. The starting point was the "Los Precursores" sports field. To my surprise, from the first kilometer I felt quite light; I had no trouble maintaining a steady pace throughout the main route of the neighborhood.

When I reached the corner of Full Crema, I turned right to head toward Comando. My original plan was to finish the route there and turn around, but since I was feeling good, I wondered, "What if we jog a little further until we reach Villa Betania?" I didn't think too much about it and just went for it. I took advantage of the smooth pace and wanted to make the most of that "second wind" that hit me.

On the way back, to spice things up a bit, I sprinted up the steep hill in that area. I'm not going to lie, that hill wiped me out, just as I remembered from my heyday. I had to slow down a bit and kept jogging as best I could until I got back to Comando. There, I decided to walk a little to catch my breath as I passed in front of the Luis Beltrán Prieto Figueroa School, and once my heart had calmed down, I resumed my final jog until I got home.

In summary, it was an excellent day. Despite the time I spent standing, my body remembers and responded well. That's all for now, see you in the next report!
