El primer peligro con el que se consigue el negro apenas comienza a jugar está defensa es que su dama sale muy temprano al centro del tablero y esto provoca que los ataques del blanco ayuden a su desarrollo y además retrasen el del negro debido a que la dama negra va a comenzar a recibir ataques de todas partes, el primer problema con el que el negro se consigue es que básicamente su dama está siendo atacada jugada tras jugada y esto retrasa el desarrollo de sus piezas menores y mayores que aún están en sus casillas iniciales.
