Time becomes our worst enemy, because the first thing it takes away is our youth, none of us can go back to the minute what happens and many of the things we live hardly ever be the same if they were to occur again. As a result of a comment made to me in one of my videos about why age was an impediment in chess, I want to show with a clear example why I say that. And today I will take as an example the Great ogre of baku Gari Kasparov, who is for many considered the best chess player of all time and you have good reasons to be so. The first game that I show you is of a young man of 22 years that conquered the World Championship against the then champion Anatoli Karpov, a precious queen sacrifice and an impeccable calculation gave the title to who would reign for more than 15 years being the number one in the world winning countless tournaments, and having in his possession the World Championship. The second game belongs to a recent tournament where he barely lasted 7 moves in the game, his ability to calculate is no longer so advanced, and this is clear because he ends up losing by very basic mistakes that perhaps I or any other amateur can make, I am not saying that he is no longer good to play chess, but sadly he is no longer at the height of the current elite, although it is true, he has had games where he has beaten players like Hikaru Nakamura, his pace has slowed down too much. I invite you to watch the video thanking you in advance for visiting my blog, the games are taken from the page Lichess where I have an account and I also have access to this type of content. The images used in this brief written description belong to some screenshots taken during the editing of the video as a greeting and a big hug.
