>_ Hola amigos y bienvenidos al resúmen de los días Viernes y Sábado del Gran Premio de las Américas, tercera fecha del MotoGP.
En esta ocasión el Circuito de las Américas, ubicado en la ciudad de Austin, Texas, fué el encargado de recibir una vez más la máxima categoría del motociclismo.
Una de las pistas más largas del calendario con 5.5 km, con un Sector 1 y 2 muy revirados donde las motos más ágiles pueden sacar ventaja, un sector 3 con una largísima recta de más de 1 kilometro y el Sector 4 que inicia con una frenada durísima para bajar de +320 km a 90 km para entrar a una complicada curva 12.
Este circuito resulta particularmente difícil para los pilotos y la punta a puesta de las motos por la cantidad de baches y ondulaciones en el asfalto que se han generado por la participación de diferentes categorías del deporte motor.
En esta ocasión, Enea Bastianini no participaría en la actividad del fin de semana ya que se encuentra recuperandose de la lesión del hombro sufrida durante el Gran Premio de Portugal. Su remplazo sería Michele Pirro.
Pol Espargaró también se encuntraría ausente después de su operación de mandíbula, Jonas Folger será su sustituto.
Por otra parte Marc Marquez tampoco verá actividad al seguir recuperandose de su lesión en la muñeca de la mano derecha. Stefan Bradl, piloto de pruebas de HRC, será su suplente después de 6 años de inactividad en el máximo circuito.
Miguel Oliveira y Joan Mir recibian luz verde después de la última revisión médica.

>_ Hello friends and welcome to the summary of Friday and Saturday of the Grand Prix of the Americas, the third date of the MotoGP.
On this occasion, the Circuit of the Americas, located in the city of Austin, Texas, was in charge of once again receiving the highest category of motorcycling.
One of the longest tracks on the calendar with 5.5 km, with a very twisty Sector 1 and 2 where the most agile bikes can take advantage, a sector 3 with a very long straight of more than 1 km and Sector 4 that begins with very hard braking to drop from +320 km to 90 km to enter a complicated turn 12.

Augusto Fernández (Gas Gas Tech3) tenía una caída en la curva 12 por pasar sobre el piano y perder tracción en la llanta delantera.
Alex Marquez (Gresini Racing) marcaba el mejor tiempo de todo el primer stint con un 2:04:222.
Pecco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo) se ubicaba en segunda posición seguido de Alex Rins (LCR Honda) que sorprendía con la velocidad de paso por curva.
Miguel Oliveira (CryptoData RNF) esperaba casi 20 minutos para poder salir a pista y en su primer intento de vuelta rápida se colocaba en cuarta posición apenas a 0.439 segundos de Marquez.

Al final de la sesión y ya en el tercer stint, Marco Bezzechi (Mooney VR46) terminaba en el suelo en la curva 12.
Los pilotos empezaban a presionar faltando 5 minutos para el final de la practica.
Luca Marini (Mooney VR46) se quedaba con el mejor tiempo de 2:03:250, seguido de Quartararo (+0.150), Johan Zarco (Pramac Racing) (+0.278) y Alex Marquez (+0.301).

Durante las primeras vueltas Luca Marini y Maverick Viñales (Aprilia Racing) nos regalaban una linda persecución.
Oliveira sufría una caída a alta velocidad en la curva 2 después de una excelente vuelta que lo ponía en la tercera plaza de momento.
Pecco mejoraba su vuelta y se acercaba al Luca con apenas 89 milésimas de diferencia.
Jorge Martín (Pramac Racing) se ponía con el mejor tiempo del día en su segundo stint con 2:03.113 al montar el compuesto duro en llanta delantera y el suave en la trasera.
Oliveira sufría nuevamente una caída, en esta ocasión en la curva 12, aunque pudo continuar el resto de la sesión, perdió toda oportunidad de colocarse en el top 10.

>_ The threat of rain for Practice 2 was fading and we were able to see the drivers fighting for the first 10 places for Qualy 2 on Saturday.
During the first laps Luca Marini and Maverick Viñales (Aprilia Racing) gave us a nice chase.
Oliveira suffered a high-speed crash at turn 2 after an excellent lap that put him in third place for the moment.
Pecco improved his lap and got closer to Luca with just 89 thousandths of a difference.
Jorge Martín (Pramac Racing) set the best time of the day in his second stint with 2:03.113 when mounting the hard compound on the front tire and the soft one on the rear.
Oliveira suffered a crash again, this time at turn 12, although he was able to continue the rest of the session, he lost any chance to place himself in the top 10.

En la última vuelta de la sesión, todos los pilotos empezaban mejorando el tiempo del primer sector, pero fué Johan Zarco quién al final termino en la primera plaza con 2:02.387. Bezzechi sería el otro piloto que avanzaría junto al frances a la Qualy 2.

The riders were looking for two places to go to Qualy 2. During the first stint Marco Bezzechi was the favorite (2:02.523) followed by Johan Zarco and Franco Morbidelli (Monster Yamaha) and Miguel Oliveira.
For the second stint Johan Mir gave a surprise and took the second best time of the session so far, 0.220 thousandths behind Bezzechi.

Marquez y Bezz bajaban el ritmo durante toda la vuelta de preparación para que Pecco pasara al frente, con lo que también se unieron los pilotos del Pramac Racing, Aprilia y LCR Honda a la pequeña fiesta.
Parecía que iban muy lento durante la vuelta de preparación, poniendo en riesgo su vuelta al perder temperatura en las llantas.
Ya en la vuelta lanzada el primero en equivocarse fué Pecco, que se iba largo en la curva 11 y provocaba que Alex y Bezz perdieran la trazada ideal. Alex Marquez terminaba en el suelo en la curva 15 y perdía la oportunidad de mejorar su tiempo al destrozar la moto.
El más beneficiado sería Rins, que se lograba el tiempo más rápido hasta el momento con 2:02.052.
Más atrás, Jorge Martin volvía a caer, en esta ocasión en la curva 2.
Al final Pecco Bagnaia se quedaba con la pole position al imponer un record de pista con 2:01.892. Rins terminaba el segunda posición seguido de Luca Marini.

Llegaba el momento de la arrancada. Bezzechi y Viñales tenían una pésima arrancada y perdían muchas posiciones.
En la punta, Alex Rins intentaba bloquear la trazada de Bagnaia, pero el español se iba ligeramente largo, junto a Marini que no podía detener su moto, y Pecco lideraba desde la curva 1.

Well, it were different eras... from 125cc,300cc to 500cc and then MotoGP... I grew up watching Vale fighting with so many different riders and one time i thought he'll be eternal for the sport...
Now the electronics, aero kits make it a more competitive and complex sport... and this year with the Sprint race its a more balanced and hard championship...

En estos dos primeros días de actividad en el circuito de las Américas vimos un dominio de parte de Pecco Bagnaia, tanto así que pudo quedarse con la pole ( con récord incluído de pista) y la carrera Sprint, se le veía bastante dominante en el fin de semana en la COTA, tan solo una caída o un imperfecto en su moto lo podía alejar de la victoria en el evento principal del día Domingo. Enhorabuena por Luca Marini, me pareció que tuvo unas actuaciones destacada en los días 1 y 2 de actividades. El hermano mejor de Rossi estuvo entre los tres primeros en las tres prácticas libres, las dos del viernes y la final el día sábado previa a la clasificación. Ya en la Qualy fue tercero, confirmando su buena actuación en este circuito. Un gran fin de semana del italiano, hermano menor de Valentino Rossi.
