Ted Lasso. 2020 - 2023
Sports shows to watch.
I'm always on the lookout for good series to watch and top of that list are sports based shows. They are the next best thing to sports themselves and make for a great watch.
The latest one that I have found is "Ted Lasso."
A comedy rather than the usual sports drama but it's a very good watch.

In a shock development struggling English Premier League team AFC Richmond hires American football coach Ted Lasso as its new manager. Lasso knows nothing about soccer/football. With unshakable enthusiasm and positivity he rises to the challenge but little known to him there are forces within the club that don't want him to succeed.
It's not a big budget show like ballers or winning time but plays out along the lines of the office and other simple sitcoms.
It's cast are ridiculous. The acting is over the top and very Americanized but the show is entertaining.
A premier league team is never going to hire an american football coach to manage it so you know from the first minute it's going to be that type of show.
Clueless manager turns club around using his people skills and everybody is happy. Throw in a few twists and turns for the storyline and there is your tv show. Overblown characters combined with a few funny scenarios. Classic sitcom recipe.
It could have been a disaster but the lead actor "Brett Goldstein" plays the part of caring manager to perfection and backed up by his silent assistant coach "Beard" make for a good tv duo.
It has a 9.4 on rotten tomatoes and won 11 emmys this year going on to become a surprise hit.
It's never going to make my top sports shows list but it has gotten me hooked every evening for some easy watching.
Worth a watch for anybody into silly humor, comedies or sports related shows.

Ya I've heard this one mentioned a good few times man,but never got around to watching it. I'll have to check this one out 👌🏻
Great show. I won’t reveal how it ends but will say it has a very satisfying end, something few series seem to manage.
