My Actifit Report Card: March 7 2024

The seasons are turning. A lunchtime walk reveals that Spring is just around the corner, the air feels warmer, I wear a layer less, no coat, just my hoodie. Blossom giving way to the virgin leaves of the oncoming season.

Later, we take a longer walk as the sun sets. The skies to the west up over the Wessex hills are full of promise for the days to come. Red sky at night.

The bark of a Muntjac Deer mixed with the rise and fall singsong of the returning skylark, provide our meandering soundtrack into the night.

All we needed was an owl and we laughed our heads off when we literally heard the call of two Tawny Owls.

Hmmm trying to think where you might see some but they are difficult to find and people in the know are unlikely to tell us. There used to be quite a few centres where you could observe them from a hide.

There is a place come to think of it near Oxford. I’ll do some research.

My wife loves them, so maybe I can organise something!
