Raving Or Behaving This Weekend?
I think there's some event we're supposed to be celebrating, they call it New Year's or something like that.
10 years ago (and beyond), I probably would be out raving to bring in the new year but truth be told, I can't be arsed with that stuff any more, will probably be behaving I guess!
In fact, I've started curating a few tracks that I fully intend on putting in to a 1 hour liquid drum & bass mix so watch this space for that - will probably be pushing it out tomorrow to give you "behavers" something to enjoy.
Although you could also rave to it doing some chilled out "bum wiggling" - I've selected tunes from 2001-2017 which are some of my favourites in that time so I'm looking forward to rolling it out to you tomorrow!
Having said that, I have about 1000+ tracks that I've got in my favourited playlist and bought plenty of those so I have got enough tunes for many mixes to come!
Hopefully I can do a few more mixes in 2023 and I will be releasing a lot more new music!

Hasten To Forget
I should probably write a bit about today's tune for anyone who's new - initially made a few years ago now, the picture is at Bear Lake in the Rocky Mountain National Park when I went travelling there.
A few moments walking around this tranquil lake and my troubles quickly went away, the water is so serene and calmed the mind.

I'm generally a pretty passive listener (there is often music playing in the background but I'm not actually listening to it) so I kept forgetting I was actually listening to this one and kept getting up because my dog is being particularly annoying today.
2022 wasn't fantastic but definitely better than previous years. 2023 currently looks like it's off to a bad start but who knows, it might surprise me.
I guess as I like to curate tunes for a mix or two, I try to be a little more active on playlisting/favouriting tunes that I hear but have sometimes just let the tunes play on the playlists I've created just to enjoy and have in the background too!
Sorry to hear about 2022 not being fantastic, hopefully things get better for you in the coming year! Keep an open mind, maybe you will be surprised :)
Thanks. In fairness to 2022, it was better than the previous years. I always work towards the best and plan for the worst (although "worst" is armageddon level ridiculousness so plans for it actually tend to be somewhat middling ^_^;)
Haha, well there are some doomsday planners who take things to the extreme having those huts out in the woods somewhere with years worth of tinned/dry food "just in case"! Hopefully we won't get to that stage but maybe I should start looking for remote areas of land :D
