Nice one on the 100 hours for the year. Not sure how much time I've spent on the 2020km challenge but it's more than I've ever done by a long way!

I like running when there's another runner to chase down, gives you a target and takes your mind off running itself!

Cheers. You must have spent a lot of time on your challenge. I see all your walks on Strava. I'm happy with any improvement as I have to accept I am getting on. I still think I have it in me to be quicker.

Haha I dread to think how much time I've spent this year on the challenge! My legs and hips are telling me it's "lots" and oh, don't you know, my hips don't lie 😁

Keep pushing mate, as long as your diet and resting programme is going well, you can get fitter and faster if you believe in it. I'd love one day to do a full marathon below 4 hours, I have one last throw of the dice on that I think, don't want to totally wreck myself before I'm 40!

I do aspire to do a marathon. I can manage a half, but it's a big step up to double that. Then I see the older folk doing it and think it must be possible.

Yeah I can tell you marathons are no joke. The first 20 miles you will be ok but that final 6.2... Jeeez! You need a strong mind, feed off the crowd and a lot of jelly babies and/or nuts! Keeping yourself hydrated but not so much you need the toilet as that will eat your time away (if you're going for a time). My best is 4h 15m in Amsterdam but hope to get into London once the UK is out of the shit with covid!
