Hello Hivers, at this time we are in Venezuela in full sports work with the celebration of the XX Edition of the National Sports Games, from January 31 to February 12, 2022.

These represent an achievement both for the Institutions in charge of Sports at national level and for all these athletes who train every day with effort and perseverance to achieve sports goals and objectives, including standing on the coveted podium to receive medals.

I have had the opportunity to share with many of these high performance athletes and to be able to feel the conviction that leads them to be champions, the fighting spirit even being quite young as well as the attitude focused on goals that makes them train every day with the purpose of positioning themselves among the best.

I proudly belong to the State of Yaracuy, where we are currently hosting different delegations as sub headquarters of these national games.

La primera Edición de estos juegos fue en 1978 teniendo como sede el Estado Tachira. Al Estado Yaracuy le correspondió ser sede en el año 1997. Se celebraban aproximadamente cada dos años con un estado como sede, sin embargo a partir del 2005 se distribuyen en diferentes estados la responsabilidad de albergar y ser anfitriones de este evento.

En el año 2013, fue la XIX edición y es ahora en este 2022 donde nuestros jóvenes atletas ven materializarse el sueño de participar en estos y foguearse entre los mejores del pais.

En esta oportunidad son 3 sedes principales: Caracas, Miranda y La Guaira. Las sub sedes están en Carabobo, Lara, Guárico y Yaracuy. Estos espacios deportivos esperan a 7068 atletas de 48 disciplinas deportivas que se disputaran las diferentes medallas.

Las disciplinas que estaran bajo la responsabiolidad de la sub sede yaracuyana son: bolas criollas, voleibol cancha, gimnasia aeróbica y parkour, tiro con arco, futbol campo,

El 25 de Enero inicio la disciplina de Tenis Campo debido a compromisos previamente adquiridos en competiciones internacionales, sin embargo la inauguración formal de los juegos y las competencias se dieron para el 31 de Enero como planteaba el cronograma.

La inauguración de los Juegos fue realizada en el Velódromo Teo Capriles de Montalbán en Caracas, siendo encendido el pebetero por Francisco Morochito Rodriguez, quien fue el primer medallista de oro para nuestro país en unos Juegos Olímpicos

La realización de estos juegos representa una victoria para nuestro país, y con el simple hecho de participar ya cada uno de estos deportistas son campeones, espero que esta experiencia sirva de estimulo tanto para ellos que buscaran nuevas metas deportivas en competiciones nacionales como internacionales; como para nosotros al darnos cuenta que a pesar de muchas circunstancias y obstáculos si es posible cumplir metas.
