Well, we actually don't know if she is a mixed breed or purebred. The thing is that we took her from the local animal shelter. By accident, one of the shelter's employees told us then that she (and her sister) were brought there by some breeder of German shepherds because their ears didn't stand up properly as they should for that breed, and he couldn't sell them. Is that true or not, we don't know?!

On the other hand, it wasn't important to us back then, and it's even less now when we know how nice, kind, gentle, and playful she really is.
She is not our first dog. We had several dogs before, purebred and mixed breed (two Irish setters, a couple of mixed breeds with the German shepherd, for a short while, we even looked after an American Staffordshire Terrier, and we also had one female cross between a husky and a German shepherd which we thought was the best until Bella arrived.)

Bella is really something! She has such a great character. She is a very obedient dog, easy to train, and amazingly intuitive. We also call her our private emotion and energy detector. 😀
