Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. Before the season ended, Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez was already on the exit plan of the club as both player and club agreed it was the best decision for both parties, as Nunez was to find another chapter in his career outside Liverpool. Liverpool assured Darwin Nunez that they will let him leave once a good price comes for him this summer, but so far, there has just been a little development after Napoli crashed out of the negotiation stage about two weeks ago, if I am correct.

Napoli were leading the race to sign Darwin Nunez last month as club-to-club talks were progressing, and it seemed Napoli was going to land the deal after sorting out their demands with Galacticos for the sales of Victor Osimhen. Darwin Nunez gave full priority to the Napoli project and was not listening to offers from Saudi Arabia clubs who were keen on signing him last month. Personal terms didn't take long between Napoli and Darwin as everything progressed well, but the only issue was the fee Liverpool were asking according to different sources.

Liverpool wanted 60 million euros for the Uruguayan, but Napoli were not willing to pay that amount as talks went on with the Italian club finding a possible way to create a financial payment plan that would suit the deal process with Liverpool. The price that Napoli was willing to pay was not released by multiple trusted sources as I couldn't find any, but my guess is that Napoli would have preferred to pay 40-45 million euros for Darwin Nunez.

Napoli informed Liverpool two weeks ago that they would be dropping out of the negotiation, and since then, the situation around Darwin Nunez's departure has not been quiet until late this Friday evening, when a new development was reported by Fabrizio Romano. Al Hilal are now in the front race to sign Darwin Nunez this summer as the Saudi club is in talks with Nunez and his camp over the possibility of the Uruguayan striker joining the club. Al Hilal have submitted their project to Darwin Nunez as he is high on their list of strikers this summer since Victor Osimhen declined their offer.

There won't be a problem paying the fee to Liverpool as we all know these Saudi clubs are ridiculously rich. It all depends on the green light from Darwin Nunez then talks will begin with both Liverpool and Al Hilal as soon as possible. Darwin Nunez will love to stay in Europe, but there are no offers from any European club at the moment as most will be pushing to get a loan deal, Liverpool only wants a permanent purchase as the Uruguayan is no longer in their plans and replacements for his position are already taken care of by the club. In the coming days, we should get more updates on Darwin Nunez's decision to either accept Al Hilal's proposal or reject it and wait for another club, but from the looks of the situation he could give the green light soon.
